These work perfectly! You drill a hole in the plastic lid, and these will fit right in. They hold the airlocks perfectly. The once I received seem to be durable enough, no tearing. I do notice a faint odor, but it doesn't smell like rubber. Not sure what it is, but it does not bother me. It might be from the black dye that they use to make these black <shrug>. But they work fine for me so I give them five stars.

They work great, form a tight seal and doesn't move around when an air lock is in. The only down side is, on a couple of them, as i was installing them the thin center plastic got nicked and torn. Thankfully that only happened with 2 of the grommets and they are soft enough plastic it doesn't take long to pull the bad ones out and put a new one in.

Great for home brewers - allows you to convert any bucket (or other lid) to allow for insertion of an airlock for brewing wine/beer/cider or other ferments - no bottle bombs!Paired with the food safe bucket lids I purchased on amazon and a 5 gallon home depot bucket - it's a cheap and easy primary fermenter.

Use for making fermentation airlock holes in buckets. Don't need to buy expensive bucket lids.

I got these to put airlocks into 38mm plastic caps. I used the 5/8" drill bit as the ad recommended, and it's too big, the grommet itself appears to be slightly less than 5/8! A 1/2-inch bit works best and will give good results. I'm confident my airlocks are air-tight enough to ensure my mead survives to bottling.

Does a nice job of converting caps, bucket lids, etc to work with an airlock. This an air lock and a cheap bucket like Home Depot or others sell and you got a fermentor. Small batches like mason jar or gallon jug. No problem.
