Danco 10062 Universal Bumper, for Use with Toilet Seats, Rubber, 1 Pack, White

The original plastic bumpers that came installed with the wooden toilet seat I was repairing were all cracked. And the first few sets of replacements I tried raised the seat up a bit too high (they seemed like a they should be good height to accommodate a bidet I’d installed earlier, but the raised height, although less than half an inch higher than the original bumpers, was just a little too high, creating a larger than ideal gap between the toilet and the seat)… But these replacement bumpers proved perfect: They’re closer to the height of the of the original bumpers; they’re easy to install (just make sure to clean the seat with a good cleaner, alcohol, or vinegar beforehand, and dry thoroughly, before applying the provided two-sided tape, to properly prepare the surface for a strong bond); and they’re made out of a rugged and rubbery feeling material that should last a very long time and not crack like plastic (and because they’re rubbery, they also allow the toilet seat to close more softly). We’ll have to see if they stay stuck on in the long-term — other reviews mentioned the adhesive wearing out after a few weeks and needing to be re-glued. But so far they’re staying on great. (Then again, since I’m working with a classic white-painted wooden seat — adhesive is likely to work better with that than with a slick plastic seat).

I bought these to try and bolster the strength of a toilet seat. I've noticed the porcelain of the current toilet is ever so slightly twisted, so over time, all toilet seats keep breaking in the exact same spot. I hope that these bumpers will work to strengthen the weak points in the toilet seat and help prevent them from breaking again. So far, these have stayed on the seat very well! They haven't wiggled nor slid from their original position. The adhesive that is on these bumpers is strong and has good staying power. They also really feel like they've made the seat stronger. The only downside is to get it to be the same height as the built-in bumpers, we had to cut these additional bumpers in half. This made them fit perfectly, but if you're getting them to strengthen a toilet seat, and not for a bidet, you will probably have to cut them down to the right size.

I WENT WITH THE LEAST EXPENSIVE OPTION, THEY ONLY STICK ON. SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH SCREWS. THE TWO SIDED TAPE PROVIDED WAS NOT STRONG , DID NOT HOLD. I DID WIPE CLEAN WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL FIRST SO IT WAS NOT THE SEAT. THESE ARE STILL USABLE AS I GOT MY OWN TWO SIDED TAPE AND SEEMS OK SO FAR, THE BUMPERS THEMSELVES ARE CORRECT SIZE AND WORK WELL, JUST THE TAPE TO SEAL NEEDS TO BE STRONGER

Overall did what it is suppose to do. I used alcohol to clean the install spot. I just got them today so we will see if they hold up. So far they are fine. I am using them with the Luxe Bidet 120. I used the small bumpers on the front original moulded seat bumpers and it leveled the seat perfect. I added the elongated bumpers to the middle original moulded bumpers in the seat. The seat seams to be level. Update....Well 24 hrs in one of the small bumpers went AWOL. Don't see it around the floor so it may have fell to its death and drowned. Wife was the last one in here and she denies any wrong doing. Guess it's off to the hardware store to replace it. The only evidence of its existence is the circle 3m tape that remains on the seat bottom. Went from four stars to three. Any more come off I will be lowering score. Update - another one got away. I would recommend a different adhesive other than the one included. I am now ordering replacements.

I initially gave this a 5 star rating because my toilet seat stabilized and stopped sliding around after applying these bumpers. I was so happy until... A month later, the adhesive let go, the bumper fell in the bowl and ended up being flushed which caused a huge issue. I couldn't unblock it with the plunger, the toilet overflowed, and I had to hire a plumber to remove it because it was wedged tightly in the pipes. It was very messy and costly. The other bumper lost its adhesive a week later, but fortunately I remembered to check each time and was able to fish it out of the bowl before flushing. I have 2 more bumpers left, so I am going to stick them under the seat and then use heavy duty packing tape to wrap it around the seat a few times. It won't be very attractive and probably won't be too comfortable either, but at least they should finally stay in place until I can come up with a better solution.

Not only is this product the least expensive one available on Amazon, it's also exactly the thing that was needed after installing a bidet function to the toilet. I love that i can use all the pieces now, so i don't have extras sitting around, collecting dust, and creating clutter. I didn't realize that both the toilet seat and the lid needed to be bumpered, but now i can just drop the lid onto the toilet without making a big clattering sound, and i didn't even have to install a hydraulic hinge on the thing. Just this cheap rubber bumper set. The instructions did say to remove the old bumpers. Now, my toilet seat and lid are each a solid piece, including the previous bumper nubs; these bumpers were part of the same mold as the piece to which they're attached. So i just had to place this new set near the previous ones, as they cannot be removed. It works.

I'm not sure how to best rate this product. It was recommended as a companion to the Tushy bidet which I purchased. The bumper fit perfectly on the bumpers which were already on my toilet lid. A+. The rub, though, came through in duration. The first set of these bumpers lasted 6 months. The second set, which was delivered last week, has already failed and fallen off of my toilet set lid. One week. I am buying strong glue to re-attach them. Please beware: these bumpers worked very well as far as their added depth-per present seat bumpers on my seat lid to work with my Tushy bidet. They did not, though, offer adhesive integrity. Purchase at your own risk.

I like that there are 2 sets to a pack-you can double the amount of bumpers on the seat & have 4 instead of 2-which may be beneficial for larger people. When 4 are spaced evenly it will distribute the weight better. These do get a discolored, going from a off-white to a dark orangey beige-I think it is natural rubber. These close quieter than the hard plastic bumpers. If you are not leaving the seat up, the discoloration is not going to be an issue. Glue them on, set them, & forget them!

Well made but get it in the right place under the seat the first time. Strips loose their adhesion by about half if you need to adjust them. IMO, I think these are a tad over priced.
