After I replaced a 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited ABS Actuator, my older code scanner wasn't able to clear the ABS and stability system dash codes.I know there's a paper clip trick videos on YouTube. However, I preferred a more civilized, less hack method.Then I took the vehicle to SF Toyota stealership to admit I can't fix it. Please clear the dash Christmas lights for me. The service intake person offered a, no promises, $199 diagnostic test. No thanks.I then procured this Foxwell scanner and, fresh out of the box, without plugging it to a computer for software updates, it cleared my codes within a couple of minutes.For all you DIY folks, I recommend this Foxwell 510 Elite Multi-System Scanner. It has many other functions that I have yet to use too. I'm glad to have this scanner in my tool case.

Worked for a few months. Then the Toyota software needed updated. Performed wireless update…then it was a $200 paper weight. Support troubleshooting was helpful at first, they said I need a replacement…then they went quiet. Weeks have passed no reply to multiple requests for an update on the replacement. Meanwhile I have a TPMS sensor issue I need to resolve.

This was supposed to have a relearn function for the camshaft position sensor. It’s shown to have that on the listing however it does not have that. It is also NOT Toyota/Lexus specific. There’s a sticker on the box labeling it that way… but the reader itself is just your run of the mill reader. It has options for other makes/models when powered on.

Initially I had so issues with the micro SD Card that came with the unit but Foxwell Tech assisted me in getting up and running. I bought this so I could activate my replacement TMPS after looking at the light for over a year now. I work in Japan but my car is US specs so the dealer here could install my TPMS but could not hook up their diagnostics to it because, they told me their diagnostics are in Japanese while my car is US English. Following the instructions that came with the replacements and using this nifty tool I finally turned off that sensor light. BTW, at least for my SCION xB (2012) the ID number for each sensor is the last seven digits and this tool gives you plenty of time to enter the information in for all for tires.

Great customer support. They reach out quickly when you have any questions. So far so good. I have the Toyota specific scanner and works great for bi directional control. Good quality and good price

I like that it doesn't require batteries ... gets power from the diagnostic plug in the car and when away from the car I can plug it into a USB port and read the saved diagnostic codes.The plug fit exactly on the 2004 Lexus IS300.It read the VIN code info and determined the car type.I had to select the year number.I was able to scan for the codes and get an informative description for the transmission related problems.It has a nice, bright display and a reasonable menu system.

I don't know how good or bad this scanner is. I do know it wasted a lot of my time. I will give it a second try.
