Simply The Best
I’ve been playing for 50 years, and I’ve tried all the usual suspects in bass strings, but once I got my hands on Elixirs, there was no turning back, because there is literally nothing on the market quite like them. Easy on the fingers, buttery smooth and easy to play, long lasting, and consistent quality from set to set. I prefer the 45-105 (45-130 for my 5-string) nickel plated, although you can get the stainless ones if you want a brighter sound. I use them on all five the basses I use regularly (Sire V10dx, Rickenbacker 4003, Yamaha TRBX605FM 5-string, Fender MIM Deluxe Precision P/J and my 1983 Guild Pilot. I play out pretty much every week, and get great tone and life out of these strings, often going 4-6 months before I change them out. They are so playable, they actually help my play faster and more precisely, across a wide variety of music. If they aren’t using them, I tell my fellow bass players all the time: try them! I wish everything we bought was of this high, consistent quality. If you are a gigging bass player and you’re serious about your gear, they are WELL WORTH the expense. Very highly recommended.

Best Bass Strings on the Planet!!
I have been playing Elixir bass strings for well over 16+ years on my 5 string MusicMan and now my 4 string P-Bass. I play a lot of hours, and these don't hurt my hands. They last a long time and sound great! I perform twice a week.

Truly exceptional strings.
I’ve been playing bass for a really long time and I can honestly tell you three main reasons why I continue to buy elixir strings over many years, and counting.. 1-They last forever. They really do. From sweat, dirt, and whatever else ends up on the strings they maintain a consistent tone and feel. For a test, I’ve had a set on a particular favorite bass I use and played multiple performances over summertime, both outdoor and indoor and they still didn’t need to be changed for almost 6 months. 2 - They have a great tone. I specifically use them on jazz, Pj, and humbucker driven basses and the tone is smooth with the appropriate bite and kick, when needed, be it driving, slap, or light touch. I especially like them on Jazz bass pick up configurations. 3- They feel smooth. It may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but when you play exacting bass lines for long periods, I feel my finger tips aren’t as fatigued or worn out compared to non-coated strings. Don’t get me wrong: non-coated rounds are awesome but elixirs are the perfect balance of string choice for me, all things considered.

Tone I’ve been looking for
As soon as I got these strings, I put them on my Breedlove acoustic bass. Once plugged in, I was sooo full of joy. This is the mellow tone I’ve been looking for. I play in a church setting a lot, and these are perfect. If you are looking for punch and growl, these are not for you.

Elixir is the best for the casual player
Anyone recording / chasing tone... maybe they have a point. These strings aren't as bright as new ones. They sound like strings that have been broken in a bit, but that's not a bad thing... But for the 98% of us that are bedroom players, these are perfect. Especially if you have corrosive sweat, elixirs will save you the hassle of constantly replacing strings. For me, without elixirs I typically have to replace the strings every 4-8 hrs before they get completely wrecked. With elixirs, I use them 300-400 hours, and only change because they will sometimes start to "peel" where you pluck the strings. They still sound OK though. I've also had plenty of elixirs I've let "sit" on an instrument for a year or two, picked them up later, still in tune, no rust or noticeable issues, and still SOUND OK!

Tonic for your stringed instrument
My primary instrument is a Tobias Killer B 4 string bass guitar, I also play electric and acoustic guitars. I've have been playing since 1975. I played professionally for several years, at this time, I only play recreationally. I have used many brands of strings over the years, I had settled on D'Addario XL's but was constantly having to change sets to maintain the desired tone. They'd last for three to four days and were done. A fellow bass player suggested trying a set of Elixirs, but at the time I wasn't playing that often so I had a hard time justifying the extra expense for them. Awhile later I purchased a used Ibanez SR bass. It was five years old and still had the original strings on it. They still sounded great! In fact it was at least four more months before I changed them, only because they were getting a bit fuzzy. So I tried another set having been impressed with their warm balanced tone and exceptional durability. I have tried some other brands coated strings but so far have not found any others I would recommend. None have exhibited the longevity of the Elixirs. In my experience they are lasting about three months and I play at least 1-2 hrs. a day. Yes they are more expensive initially but will save you quite a bit of money in no time. I am not going to write at length about their tone because it is so subjective. I will say I find it to be completely acceptable. Not overly bright but clear and warm. I would characterize it like a just "broken in" tone that just stays there. I also have equipped both my 12 and 6 string acoustics with elixirs and am very satisfied with the tone and again exceptional durability. I use EB Super Slinkys on the electric guitars. I would recommend Elixirs to anyone, pro or novice.

Satıcı hatali ve yıpranmış ürün gönderdi.
Nikel siparişim çelik ve 5 tel olarak geldi. Ürün kutusu yıpranmış ve ıslanmıştı. Orjinal olduğundan şüpheliyim. Bu sebeple iade ettim.
