Ontario Knives Moteng Canning Knife

The knife arrived on time and was exactly the same as the one I am replacing that I bought some 40 years ago. I used the old knife to cut, scrape, pri dig dandelions out of the lawn etc. Through incredible abuse I broke the blade off several times , resharpened/reshaped the blade and kept on using it. I think that I paid about a buck ninety eight for the old knife, so I think that I more than got my money’s worth out of it. I just celebrated my 82th birthday so I am pretty confidante that this new knife will fit my needs until I pass over to the land where I probably won’t have to dig dandelions out of the lawn. Well our first 2 lasted 40 years and counting … not that they have the same shaped blade any more, but they still hold an edge. Hoping the new ones will hold up as well.

Presumably, the serrated edged knives are no longer available even though they are described as such. Highly recommend the knives other than that.

Our original hand-me-down knife lasted 50 years of daily use and abuse. Just bought a new one finally and look forward to handing this one down decades from now.

Nice handle, real rough finish on the blade, very disappointed.

We actually purchased this to replace one just like it that we used to weed between our paving stones...it is an excellent little knife. Sharp and comfortable to hold.

Great knife for the price

This is a good all-around kitchen knife, but the edge is not serrated, as stated in the product description. I was looking for a serrated knife of about this size, so it's a let-down in that respect. Otherwise, it would get four stars.

My mom has had one of these knives since she was in high school (she’s now in her 50s) and I grew up using it. This is the best multi-purpose knife in existence. I spent years trying to figure out where she got it and if they were still in production. I was absolutely thrilled to find they were! I’ve have this knife for several months now and I use it every day. Great for food prep, canning, etc. Really can’t say enough about how great this knife is.

This is my most used everyday knife, and I do own nicer kitchen knives. Love the ergonomics of the handle, the blade is sturdy and easy to sharpen, and with it's low cost, I'm not afraid to put it through the paces! A great buy from a great knife company. Eyeing the fruit knife also.
