Every bit as good as those costing three times as much
I've purchased equivalent units from US manufacturers, such as the Leviton C2623 L6-30R, and paid almost three times as much, both online and in local hardware stores. By comparison the price of this unit was so much lower that I thought there must be a mistake. Maybe it wasn't really described correctly? No, this is indeed a standard UL-labeled nylon 250V 30A female twist lock connector, which really should be labeled as NEMA L6-30R (R = receptacle, P = plug).Though not visible in the stock photo, there's a quality plastic strain relief on the back, with two screws. It should accept large cable and hold it well.Inside there are brass screw-down wire connectors, and three long plated screws to hold the unit together. The wires will be well insulated from each other when connected properly. There's a wire strip gauge molded into the back of the white part as well. Each unit arrived individually sealed in a clear plastic bag.In sum, I'm very impressed with the apparent quality of this unit. I have no idea how much abuse it will take, or if it will discolor over time, but it seems to be very well made. The nylon seems very tough. The L6-30P (male) plug I tested with this connector fit perfectly and snugly (but not too snugly).

I received the product as described and is will made.
So far the product is working well and is durable, it is well made.

If cost is the most important consideration, these might be "OK."
Like most folks, I'd like to spend as little money as possible to complete my projects. Skimping here was not a great idea, however. If you're not aware of what a proper connector should look like, or if durability is not a concern, then this certainly looks like a great deal. It's half the price of a quality part. And I've returned mine, because I'm not willing to save money at the expense of significant quality reduction. Yes these look like the connector you want. But don't be fooled. They're the Playskool version of the real thing. Great for display or demonstrations, but I won't use them to pass 30A of 230V.I never thought I'd become a "connector snob" but here I am. The high quality Leviton units are well worth the extra money, because their quality IS that much better.

Very nice plug, 1/3rd the cost of locally, only slight issue is the hole to insert the wire is very tight for 10 guage wire
Works as well as the ones at my local big box lumber yard, only 1/3rd the price!I was a bit worried ordering a more generic plug like this but I'm happy to report it worked very well, as good as ones costing 3x more. My only slight beef is the size they give you route the input wire. This is a 30a outlet and therefor should be sized to allow 10x2 w/ground(or maybe even 8-2 w/g) wire to fit through the inlet strain relief with no issues but that is not the case. I tried 2 different 10-2 w/g cords(rubber and one that was more hard plastic) and both were very tight. I had to totally remove one screw and push wire in at a angle to get it in, I had to push quite hard. After in the screws tightened down nicely and no it's not made so you can just remove something to allow it to pass larger wire, the ridge is molded as part of the plug. I guess if I couldn't have got my wire past the ridge I'd have just used something like a Dremmel to cut the ridge down a little but as it was I was finally able to get the wire in. Note I tried some 12-2 w/g and it fit in just fine but one should not be using 12 gauge wire with a 30a outlet, just saying.Because of this issue I'm subtracting a star but otherwise it's a 5 star device, UL listed and everything, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.....in fact I'm going to put another one in my wishlist for a spare, the price is so good.

Well made, quality item
These seem to be very well made. Just what I needed and for a reasonable cost. Whats not to like !

Low quality, most have completely melted.
Good seller but these are very low quality plugs. Most of them have actually melted once they were under load. We've replaced them with Leviton ones and have not had any further issues.

Inexpensive and well built
Although It’s not possible to see the actual contacts without destroying it, seems solid. Many EV car chargers use this style outlet which is rated for 30 amps but will draw only 16.
