Q: what time of fish is this style aquarium best for?

Fancy goldfish grow to over 8 inches, Common Goldfish/Comet Goldfish 10-12 inches, and all species of goldfish grow large, despite old wives tales that they grow to the size of their tank. They also produce a large bioload. Anything living honestly needs a filter, but if you honestly want some creatures in this you're best off with a couple of shrimp, even though shrimp are sensitive to any and all changes in water parameters. Other "small fish" such as tetras are also unsuitable as they have an enormous amount of energy and need to be kept in schools to feel safe. Plants are your best bet though. To all who have answered correctly, thank you.

Q: Is this divided into sections so one betta can go in each section or is it all one bunch of water for only one fish?

It’s one big thing. And the only thing is does is make your fish stare at mostly white walls... please just buy a square tank and decorate the inside how you want it so they can have things to explore and do in the bowl or tank

I have two tanks and two Betas. I have had them since March and they are doing great. 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 8" (19 x 19 x 20 cm) 2.5 Gallons

If you look at the picture, two of the 4 sides have an opening near the top. The glass part of the tank does not go all the way up.
