Good quality
This item is of verey good quality it's verey compact the only thing that rattles is the handle bit once the leather strap is put over the handle that stops. The leather strap isn't of good quality But it's decent it it's looked after I use saddle soap to keep the strap in good condition.I'm verey happy with this item it's perfect for coming.

NOT A WW2 MESS TIN
This is NOT a German WW2 mess tin. I have fallen for this trap before on another website, and I can confirm this is a POST-WAR mess tin. If you would like to find a WW2 mess tin, there are 2 main things to look for:1) The amount of rivets: if there are 3 it is POST-WAR2) The type of jointy-thing that holds the handle onto the tin: if they are circular, it is POST-WAR, and if they are in an ear shape, they are possibly WW2
