Shea Pro Leave-in Moisturizer

For some backstory, I have been sitting on this product for a long time since I bought it. I've tried ApHogee products before, and they're not so bad, but this is the first time I've bought an ApHogee leave-in moisturizer. I decided to get it on a whim, just out of curiosity, but never opened it until recently. Dear God. I don't even know where to begin. I am so completely over the moon, surprised and pleased with the performance of this product. Not only that, but I am beyond terrified that they're going to change the formula, and we're going to lose it because, out of everything I have tried—including what has now become my second runner-up, “Creme of Nature” Pure Honey Shrinkage Defense Curl Activator—this has now become my top choice. Sometimes, I will use the curl activator on my ends on top of using this product, but now this product is my go-to, and here's why. My hair texture ranges across 3C, 4A, and 4B, with a notably thick section at the back. Medium porosity. My hair has always been very delicate, and it cannot stretch that far without breaking. I noticed when I was taking down a few twists the other day, my hair was 'stretching', and it was such an odd feeling because I'm not used to that. I actually remembered pausing for a moment and looking down at my hair. You know that feeling when you're a little bit impatient, and you're taking down your twists and there's a knot, so your hair snaps when you're impatient? That didn't happen this time. My finger stopped at the little knot, and then after I pulled, my hair just kept stretching but did not pop. This is very odd for me, and I know we're not supposed to do that, but I would usually just rush through it, knowing that my hair would break under the pressure quite easily. That is not the case for this. My hair is not only moisturized, but it did exactly what it said it would do, which is give it elasticity, something no moisturizer I have ever used—and I was a product junkie who spent over $2,000 on products in the last 2 years—has ever done. When I tell you this product is worth even more than what they're charging, good Lord... I am so exceedingly happy, and they need to keep this product. I would rather they increase the price than change the ingredients if they need to. When I get paid next, I'm going to buy a boatload of these just in case. Coming from a product junkie, EX-PRODUCT JUNKIE, this is the best. I've only been using my own moisturizer that I made when I realized that moisturizers on the market weren't doing their job. So, on top of making my hair exceedingly soft and giving it elasticity, which is crazy—it's something I've never experienced before—this leave-in moisturizer also functions as a sort of gel. I don't have to use any sealant with it, and I can sleep on my hair and wake up, and it still holds its shape. The quality of this product is divine. I am so glad I didn't throw it out and I decided to open it and try it. Oh my God, I can't thank the people who made this enough. If I could meet them in person, I would give them the biggest hug and kiss. My hair thanks you!

I have really thick 4c natural hair and this is just chef kiss for me! I normally use it on a wash day and it leaves my hair feeling so soft, aids in my curl pattern, no dryness and the moisture last a really long time with my silk covering. You can even do a braid out after using it and allowing your hair to dry completely and you get the best curls, definitely getting value for your money when you buy!

This is so far my favorite leave-in product that I've used. It helps keep the frizz down on my curls (type 3B hair); I just wish that (like all other products I've tried) it didn't darken my already dark-blond hair, making the roots especially seem more of a brown color.

Yeah yeah 👍🏾 I like this a lot. I use it to twist my hair and it holds decent.

I discovered this product through a curly hair specialist on Instagram and decided to check Amazon so I could get it quickly. When it arrived, I was impressed with the packaging—the container was sealed in plastic, giving me peace of mind that it hadn’t been tampered with. As soon as I tried it, I was blown away! This leave-in provides amazing slip and moisture for 4C curly hair, making detangling so much easier. The jar is a generous size, so you get plenty of product for the price. Definitely a must-have for anyone looking to maintain healthy, hydrated curls!

I didn’t like the texture of the product.

I used to really like this product because of the smell but it dries out my hair and the product too thick for me. It did make my hair a bit softer but not worth the drying out. A friend said it has a harmful ingredient in it so that might’ve been it.
