Magnistitch Sewing & Craft Magnifier

Just received this in the mail and positioned it on the PFAFF7530 sewing machine and my wife loves it . Her machine is a very smooth running museum so the magnifier holds steady . It does a great job of magnification . You mount it with a self adhesive pad that comes on the base . Be sure The person who is going to use it is the one to position it where they want it " BEFORE " you remove the paper cover on the adhesive pad . We positioned ours and carefully , then marked it with a lead pencil ( can wipe off any mistakes by damp cloth , which worked well on our off white machine body . Check out where you want it to swiveled to . The arm is scooped , top and base so as to allow better movement . But you must try it while holding it " BEFORE " you remove the paper cover from the adhesive pad . Once you have your position marked it by tracing the oval base . We marked the apex denoted by a straight line at the top of base . We marked this with a mark so when we disconnect the arm and lens ( I recommend this ) we can place the base exactly as previously marked . We started placing the base on after removing the paper cover by just touching one point ( we used the apex mark ) first with the minimum contact and carefully pressed the base into position according to our marks ( a previously traced oval w/apex marked). I think this is a one chance placement as I believe once adhered you will not be able to reposition it as the pad will probably tear lose . We hope it stays on . My wife sews a lot so note the date of this review . If it falls off I will update this review . It is an inexpensive item so if like us you can use a little help seeing your seam this and additional light makes a big difference . Sorry that this is such long review . Just trying to help as there was no review at the time I bought this item . Again my wife loves it . SO FAR , SO GOOD !

I purchased this to use with my Bother Innovis VQ3000 to help me see the foot & needle as I sew, but there's not a good place to attach it. It needs a larger arm to move it up & down. Detached it is a great magnifier. I may try it on one of my other sewing machines.

it has an attachment sticker, that is suppose to be use to attach to your machine, but I did not use it, as I have to use the magnifier each time in a different place. this is my problem,. as my eyesight, is not great. overall I was happy with it.

Magnification is good, but it does not fit well on either a Pfaff or a Janome machine.

Great item, great help seeing material and seams better. Don't know how I managed before I got it. Thank you!
