Always pay a little more for longevity and quality
Bought this drum set finally after years of debating if I should spend the amount itโs worth. In all honesty it truly is what your paying for right out the box it was neatly packaged with instructions and all not a single piece missing. It comes in two separate boxes and a little time is taken to build but thatโs the point when you care about something. Yamaha really is the best quality out there with Roland right behind them but if you want the full package then spend a little more to get the hi hat stand included as well. I truly love this set and Im happy to have finally bought it!

Nice... with a few hickups...
Researched a lot of drums before purchasing this kit. Have had this kit for almost 2 months now. Wanted to get back into playing again after a 20 year break. Not a professional drummer... just like to learn, play and have fun. Went with electric instead of acoustic because of the noise. This certainly meets that criteria. If you get an electric set... I recommend going with a good set of headphones. I went with Audio-Technica.. as this was recommended by many people I talked to. Also, I purchased a 4yr extended warranty through Asurion, offered at checkout, if you can afford it.. I would do it. Anyhow... here are just a few pros and cons I found with this set. Hope this helps... -------------------------------- Pros: - Many good sounding kits to select from. Sounds really good with headphones. - Toms, cymbals, hardware all feel pretty durable. - While playing... hitting the toms, cymbals and kick isn't annoyingly loud. (doesn't bother me with headphones on;) - Able to add additional toms, cymbals or kick. Wasn't really sure how to do this at first. Took some time to figure out. I've added two (TP65) toms and will probably add an additional tom and cymbal. You can add a TOTAL of 4 toms, cymbals or kick. You can split the 3 tom inputs and there's an additional input in the kick. To do this you will need a mono cable and a L/R splitter to stereo cable, to split each tom. Once you add the new tom, there are instructions in the included book that tells you how to change the voice/sound of the tom/cymbal. - I cast my tablet to my TV and watch/play along with uToob. I have the output speaker cable on the tv going to the module. So, I can listen, watch and play. Search drumless songs on uToob.. it's a blast. This is a pro and a con... the kit is very compact, which is good for me... but, for someone tall... or accustom to playing an acoustic set, this may be an issue for them. ----------------------------------------- Cons: - After only playing for about 40hrs on the set... the kick stopped working. Actually.. it didn't completely stop, I just had to really stomp on the pedal to get the kick to trigger. Changed cables.. drum kits and still continued to have the issue. Because it's still under warranty... I called Yamaha customer service. They walked me through checking a couple other things.. but nothing worked. They said they would get another kick sent out. Ok... great. However.. they didn't tell me it's on back order for over a month. Ok.. so now what. Like I said.. I'm not in a band... I don't have any gigs coming up. But, I do have an $800 kit sitting in the basement that I would like to play. Not much fun playing without a kick. So, I'm going to order another kick. That way I'll have a back up when one or the other break.. I can keep playing while I'm waiting for a replacement. - Ok.. next issue. Now the snare drum is starting to do the same thing. Again, it doesn't stop working all the time.. but it does stop working. I continue playing... probably another 10 hits.. then it works again. I think I'll wait until I have a kick to start playing again before I work on replacing the snare. I'll use one of the toms as a snare while I'm waiting for the replacement on that one. - I don't think this set would suit the advanced player looking to get into an electric set. I would probably go with another brand or up in model numbers - if you have the money. - Snare drum clamp/post that attaches to the frame does not stay in place. After a short time, I find the snare at a 45degree angle. I'll have to look into how I can keep the snare from rotating down. I'm not a hard hitter... the frame is just smooth. - The kick moves away as you play/kick the pedal. I initially put a rug under the kit to help keep the kick from moving. It does have spikes that should keep the kick from moving... but, all this does is tear up the carpet. So, what I had to do is put down rug tape under the carpet -so the carpet doesn't move-, then I put a piece of 1/2" x 6" x 3' wood between the base legs and the kick. Looks hacky, but it does the job. - The app they offer only works with apple. Plus you would need a pricey cord/adapter to use the app. Seems they would make an android app that is usb to micro. Maybe they'll have something down the road, if enough people ask for it. ------------------------------------------------------------- I was going to give it 3 stars because of the issue with the kick and snare, but I figure... the pros out way the cons for this set. - 4 solid stars. So, if you're looking for a mid range value electronic drum set... this would probably work for you. That's my two cents on this set. Hope it helps.

Sounds real and sensors lasts long.
I couldnโt believe that more than 1 year later Iโd be reviewing this product to say that all sensors still work. This is because I was really suspicious of the durability of electronic drums. This product has really stood my test of time. It sounds like the real thing and even has rim-shot snare sound and cymbal bell sound just where you expect them to be. The presets are fully customizable with a wide range of settings. The materials used to make each piece seem to be pitch tuned such that playing on the hardware without the electronic sound on seems to produce pitch-appropriate hardware sounds that harmonizes well. The relatively small base drum head accommodates my double base-pedal heads just fine. I used 2B drum sticks on this product for many months and didnโt break a sensors on any of its pieces. Really durable!

Still waiting on rest of kit. Bummer
Bought this as a gift, received 5/21. Currently missing the rack and sound module so we can't even set it up or use it. A second package has not been confirmed or received. Been trying to resolve but will likely return the product if I cannot get the missing items.

I could not be happier with it
This is my first electronic drum set. I could not be happier with it! I have dug deep into all of the options and everything you can do with the kit but just out of the box it has been awesome!

Great kit for beginners with some minor setbacks.
Honestly a pretty great kit, it feels durable enough to last a while and the silicone snare pad is a great touch. I'm still finding good adjustments for positioning, which I have to say is a touch difficult to find, since the kit's frame is small relative to the pads, but most kits require some adjusting and getting sized up, so not a big deal. One thing I will point out though, is that the pads require an amount of force to activate from a hit that's just outside my comfort zone, meaning I do seem to have to hit the (non-silicone and mainly cymbal) pads just a bit harder than I feel I should. Also, as a result of that, the actual audible sound the pads make seems kinda loud too. I like this kit, the drumsets it comes programmed with are nice, I'd prefer to hear more variable hits though, "machinegunning" can be a little distracting at times and with certain sets. However, the ability to both import custom sound files and set up custom drumsets in the module is a great feature that I've only barely begun to try. The app is nice, but up to now it's only always been for IOS, so being an android/windows phone user renders it pretty useless. Tl:dr, Pros: Great kit, durable pads, custom sound files and beginner friendly, helpful app for Apple users, tom and snare pads have great response on hits, bass pedal almost as much, still good, great beginner kit overall. Cons: Cymbal pads feel slightly insensitive at times, sounds can "machinegun", does NOT come with bass drum pedal, only the bass drum pad, also does NOT come with a drum throne or any audio out methods like headphones or speakers, drum frame is small and makes the kit feel a little tight at times. I like this kit a lot, I'm planning to soup up my room with sound treatment and other improvements, and afterward I plan to update this review with photos and more extended-use commentary.

Excelente
Yamaha es excelente en cuanto a baterรญas digitales.

Highly recommend to anyone wanting a great set of electronic drums
This is a fantastic drum set, easy to set up even a right handed set up. I just reversed everything and all wires reached no problem. They sound great and the module makes it easy to change the sounds. Using headphones currently but will be getting an amp soon. Pads feel great and you can easily move things around for easy reach while playing.

Nice drums with some big installation headaches
This is clearly pictured as having a bass drum kick pedal, which is INCORRECT. There is only a kick drum PAD with no PEDAL, which seems retarded... I'm buying a drum set because I don't have a drum set. Why would I have a kick pedal lying around to use if I'm buying a drum set? There is no mention on Amazon.ca or Amazon.com OR on Yamaha.com to indicate that you have to buy a kick pedal separately... and there's a fricking pedal in the product picture! The ONLY place I've found this mentioned is a brief moment in the weirdly bad product installation video. Also, I consider myself an advanced computer user, but I'm completely lost when trying to get any sound from these via USB to my desktop computer (Windows 10 x64). Isn't this one of the main reasons to get an electronic drum set: to record and monitor from your computer? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong and the documentation basically just says "plug it in". Windows gives an audible chime that it recognizes I've done so, but I can't get any drum sound to play through my computer speakers. I'm clearly doing something wrong but I can't find anywhere (via Google searches) that explains what to do, much less the included documentation. So yeah, I'm frustrated with this right now, which is reflected in my 3 star review. It's not 1 STAR GARBAGE because the actual drum set seems pretty nice, but the only thing I've managed to do is put it all together, and plug headphones directly into the header unit to hear any sounds.... which works fine. And since I'm here ranting anyway, Yamaha.... why not toss in a pair of drumsticks? They are super cheap! and would allow a new buyer to start playing immediately, instead of just slapping away at them with my hands while I wait for my now-ordered drumsticks to arrive in a week or so. In conclusion: 1. NO BASS PEDAL INCLUDED. If you want to hear the bass drum, you are going to have to kick the damn thing with your toes until you go buy a separate bass pedal. 2. HORRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTING TO COMPUTER. I've spent hours now trying different google searches and software to try to get these drums to play through my computer speakers. Why isn't this clearly spelled out in the User Manual? 3. NO DRUMSTICKS. To be fair, at least these aren't pictured, unlike the bass pedal. I kind of figured I'd end up having to buy drumsticks.... but why not include some $5 sticks to get a man started? 4. Drums seem nice, otherwise. I'll update this review as I get more time with them. Hopefully get some of these problems worked out in the meantime.
