Great idea, but you have to build it!
Tedious to build Annoyingly so and the directions are pitiful. Still, if you can get your hands to coordinate this tedious building part, it does function well for my cockatiel. Hope you have small hands and good luck. Oh, and the wood bleeds color when you clean it with water. Be careful, Hopefully it isn't toxic to birds. I would give this 5 stars if it came to my house ALREADY BUILT.

Junk
I'm probably going to keep this but...1) dye comes off the wood and stained my hands while assembling it.2) missing parts (nut to attach main stem to middle base plate)3) middle base plate is warped (the part sitting on the stairs)4) none of the stairs are level or align properly to the bottom.5) so far, my 2 birds are afraid of it.6) the wood is that soft stuff in bird toys that they can chew apart in a few days. This all means it is fairly wobbly. The bottom tray seems fine, I might use this as a template to build my own with some good wood. There is zero way this could have passed any quality control. There is no way it could be put together without replacing wooden parts. The picture on the site matches what I got and expected, but the picture next to this review I'm writing is wrong. Mine has the 4 stairs to a small platform, with a central pole with the pegs around it.

Our Lovebird loves it!
You have to assemble yourself. I am patient and love to build, but if that isn't your cup of tea; then, you should pay for a pre-assembled product.

... this when out of their cage and seem to enjoy playing on it
My parakeets use this when out of their cage and seem to enjoy playing on it. I am enjoying watching them. This a sturdy stand and I highly recommend it.
