adidas Traxion Menace Football/Basketball Crew Socks

Was skeptical about dropping the money, but after wearing them I can justify my purchase. They're real comfortable and are cushioned in all the right areas. My D. Rose's were putting pressure on the side of my ankle. I tried doubling up with two pairs on my feet, but that only helped partially and allowed my feet to slide around a bit. These socks provided better cushioning and kept my feet more secure inside my shoes. I wear size 13 and ordered an XL. They fit great.

I bought these for my son for high school basketball (freshman, plays JV and V). They are only a few months old (mid-Nov) and already have holes in them. I'm not impressed at all. He only wears them for basketball. One pair is "ok" (thinning) but the other pair has huge holes in the heels.When he first started using them, he really liked them. They look good, and feel good. They fit as expected (mens XL, size 13.5 shoes). But after 3 months, they're done.I expected better quality from Adidas. Maybe my son is too hard them...no idea. I'll be looking for some different ones in the future. Thankfully the season is almost over.

My son is extremely rough on his socks. He often takes off his shoes and continues to run and play in socked feet. trampoline, grass, mud, dirt, concrete, water, it doesn't matter. he has ruined more socks than I have owned my entire life. But he likes these socks and shows the tiniest smidgen of respect for them. It may be that he wears them as part of his football gear or maybe he just simply likes them. They have proven durable in the locker room and playing field and that it what I wanted when I bought these.

These socks are well made and are padded in the areas where you are likely going to chafe when playing sports (ball of foot and heel). It is a thicker sock, so be sure to use these socks when purchasing shoes so you know you are getting the right feel/size of shoes. I already purchased a second pair.

The Traxion Menace socks are being worn for competitive, women's college-level basketball. Compression and cushion areas work out well for problematic feet during heavy usage and game speed. These socks feel a little large compared to the equal size of the leading competition, which means the fit is a little less secure. There isn't foot movement in the sock, it might be my general preference for very tight fitting socks. This Adidas sock is a high quality, top level competitor to the very best I have worn.

The first wear or two were tight but ok. Size 12 shoe and these on the larger side, expected that they would fit easily. They didn't. They are a compression type pull from the start but after a couple washes the sock is so tight that it is nearly impossible to get on.

I love the fit, feel, and performance of these socks. But they develop holes quicker than most other brand of sport socks I've tried & they're not cheap, so I only buy them when they're on a good sale.
