Fiddle Time Sprinters + CD: A third book of pieces for violin

My 4 year old loves it. Has gone through the first two books and is now on this one. Systematic learning and the tunes now come with piano only part to practice without the violin playing in the CD as well as with the violin playing along. Fantastic series - have enjoyed all of the songs so far!

I gave this to my 10 year old grandson for passing his Grade 2 violin exam, and he loves it. It is giving him continued incentive to play pieces for the joy of it, improving his sight-reading and timing abilities as well. Also he can choose if and when he wishes to have "backing" from the CD, which plays both the actual piece, then the "backing". This adds to the confidence of the pupil.

I bought this book for my son on the recommendation of his teacher. He is around grade 3 standard but wanted a book to build his repertoire and skills in addition to exam pieces (which gets rather boring after a while) and develop his playing towards grade 4. There is a really good selection of pieces by a variety of famous composers as well as the Blackwells themselves. My son seems to be enjoying playing the pieces which are stretching him. A good progression from the Blackwells' previous 2 books (joggers and runners).

The pieces in this book are simple and fun. It came within days in perfect condition. Needed for my violin lessons and are perfect for the job

Such good books. I am an adult who has come back to learning the violin. As I am teaching myself, I wanted a book with a CD and these books are perfect. A great selection of songs and various instruments accompany you on the CD. Perfect books for children and adults.

Great book for young learners by daughter bought this book and uses it all the time to practice. The CD is great to practice with too over all great for the money would recommend this book.

This is a must by for any chilld or even adult learning violin. A good selection of tunes and just the right details included to build playing skills and musical knowledge.

Was recommended this book by teacher to gear my child up for grade 3.The pieces are fun, but easy, and not too challenging but I suppose that down to the individual.
