This has made me find out things about my loved ones that I wouldn't even know about if I didn't have this card game. Best for awkward dates. Best ice breaker. It had funny, deep, and casual questions it so it works for anyone.

I bought this deck to use with a group of about 30 people, 25 of whom were meeting for the first time as part of a year-long leadership group. I appreciate that they're broken up into categories like "life," "If you could," and "deep" but I found that only about six of the "deep" cards were appropriate for my group, and I really had to go through the deck carefully and curate the selections. We ended up dividing into six groups so one of the groups didn't have a "deep" card, and all six groups had two of each of the other cards. Some of the cards I didn't choose were potentially problematic or depressing, especially with people who tend to work with a very wide cross-section of the public, a portion of whom are not always showing up as their best selves. (No, not healthcare.) Overall this isn't a terrible deck, but when I checked with my colleagues to make sure I wasn't being oversensitive about the ones I rejected their facial expressions as they read the questions confirmed that weeding those questions was the right track. You'll want to make sure you have the right mix of cards for the makeup of the group before you deal/distribute these, but the good questions were quite good and the group had lots of good things to say about the activity.

My wife and I have been married for many years, but when we play this game, I still learn things about her…and she does me, too. Great questions to deepen your relationships with people. “Favorite toy as a child” … “a big event in your life that helped form you as an adult” Really good stuff! Everyone needs this game in their home. Turn on some lounge music, pour a cold drink, and really get to know your people.

Bought this on a whim to try in my adult leadership and developments classes. Was a big hit. Started using in our weekly team meetings as well and our core group really had become passionate about our Friday meetings because we all get to get a little glimps into what makes each other tick and some insight into how we're each hardwired. Plus it's a lot of fun. Comes in a sturdy box that makes it easy for travel too. Age range I would say it's for 18 and up for developmental work purposes. Younger people could play but not having as much life experience to answer as intended would just make it a fun game. Highly recommended for team building.

I like the IceBreaker set a lot. The questions are generally very good, and the set is nicely designed with a small, attractive box and sturdy cards. It's a great conversation starter. My only caveat is that it isn't really a game. Just sharing the questions is fine, but I wish there were two or three suggestions for game play. Still, I really like the set.
