Q: What is this agar agar made of? I am used to the seaweed/algae one but nowadays it seems that any vegan thickening agent is called agar agar

so far as i am aware, this agar agar is exactly what it says on the tub. ie it's seaweed. processed and dried into a white powder. i have not come across other thickening agents being called agar agar, and wonder if someone has spun you a line?
