My favorite bags
These happened to be the brand of bags supplied by my insurance company when I ordered my breast pump. I had gotten some Medela bags from our breastfeeding class and lactation consultant. When I started to pump, and eventually had excess milk I needed to freeze, I used both kinds of bags.I liked these bags because they were easier to pour the milk from the pump's bottles. When I started to thaw the milk for use, these bags became my favorites. The tear-off part for the spout made these so simple to use, to pour thawed milk into bottles without spilling.I used over a thousand bags with my first baby (600 provided by insurance, the rest purchased by me) and have so far used 300 with this baby. I have never had a leaky bag, or a zipper that didn't stay sealed in the freezer. I am careful to make sure that any milk isn't caught in the zipper area. I put 4 oz. of milk into each bag and then remove the air. (They would hold more than that.) I donated milk to the milk bank at a local hospital, and they told me these bags are good in their experience.I'm not sure on the accuracy of the marks on the bag, as I use the bottles for my volume measurements and then pour into the bag.I expect to continue using these bags throughout my time pumping for this baby, and again in the future should I need them. I wish they weren't so expensive, but I buy them anyway.

These bags are great for small and frequent feedings.
I love these bags. I received a few promotional ones along with my Ameda breast pump and have been hooked. I just received my 4th and 5th box and will probably be ordering boxes 6 and 7 within the next 2 weeks. I used the adapters a couple times but felt the bags cumbersome so I went back to pumping into the bottles. The accuracy of volume is usually a little off so I measure (usually a feeding) before I pour into the bag and write the amount on the label. Along with the tear and pour, this comes in handy for the midnight, 3am and 6am feedings. Each bag is already measured for a feeding and all I do is tear off the corner and pour into a bottle. I have ripped a couple bags and had to pour very carefully but for the most part I haven’t really had any issues. I have used other bags and while they hold more volume its a little hard when it comes to pouring the milk into a bottle. usually I cut a small hole in the bottle of the bag and drain the milk.Defrosting has also been fairly easy. I take a few bags out and let them sit in the fridge for a few hours or set them in a bowl of cold water. My little one spent some time in the hospital and using these bags was so easy for the nurses to make bottles to bring into the room for her feedings.

Bag comparison
I have used Ameda, Medela and Lansinoh bags recently, and figured I would post a comparison of the 3.Ameda:Love the pour spout, but haven't really had a spill issue with any of the other bags so it's more of a nice to have than a must have. Good, thick plastic, and bags stand up on their own quite well. Zipper seems secure, although sometimes its hard to tell if it's closed. Has the smallest zipper of the 3 bags. Also, very disappointed that this listing was for the bags only, and did not include the adapters to pump directly into the bags. Luckily, with a little finagling, I was able to use these bags with the Medela adapters.Medela:Similar to Ameda in plastic thickness and design. Also stands up on own easily. Zipper seems a bit more reliable than Ameda. I liked that the adapters were included in the box and these are easy to pump into.Lansinoh:The thinnest plastic of the 3, and don't really stand up on own easily. These have a double zipper though, which is great, and it's easy to tell when the zipper is closed. These also lie the flattest when frozen, making them the easiest for storing frozen milk. These are also by far the cheapest of the 3, usually costing around half of what the others do. However, these cannot be pumped directly in to.Personally, I use the Lansinoh bags for whe I pump into bottles and then pour into bags for freezing. I use the Medela or Ameda ones when I want to pump directly into bags. In my opinion, they all stink as far as volume measurement, so if I need to know how much is in there, I usually pump into a bottle, measure based on the bottle reading, and then pour into the bag. Otherwise, when zipped, they usually read about 1 ounce more than what is actually in there.

first-time mom
I personally think it's best to breast-feed your baby but there are times and some moms like myself that have to freeze because I have to have surgery. My doctor told me that I needed to pump 24 hours worth of breast milk and maybe a few days because of the surgery that I'm having and I have to discard 24hrs worth because of the anesthesia. So I purchased these to start saving up for my surgery and so far it has been great. I intentionally froze and thawed a few bags to see how they work.I first tried just warming in the microwave a mug of hot water and sit in the bag in it that took almost 10 minutes to thaw and when you have a hungry baby that is too long.I then tried setting it on the window seal in the sun and that took even longer so scratch that out.Lastly I put water in a pot, boiled it really fast on high and then took it off it off the burner and put the bag in the pot. This only took roughly 3 to 5 minutes. So far I've had no leakage or breaking in the bags. They only hold 5 ounces so as your baby grows you know they're going to consume more than 5 ounces. These bags are more for saving up for a special purpose like my surgery or when you need to travel and keep frozen/cold for a longer period time. Again whatever works best for you!

Mejor cierre que otras marcas
El plástico de la bolsa se siente más delgado que otras marcas, pero el sistema de sellado es más seguro, otras marcas parecen tener como el de una bolsa ziploc y este es más fuerte. Buena alternativa para tener.

Won't be purchasing again
Incredibly difficult to pour pumped milk into (narrow opening, holes for attaching to gusset, etc.) will not buy again. If you want to pump directly into the bags you need to purchase add ons for your pump.
