Medela Breast Milk Feeding Gift Set

Bought this gift set as a starter kit for feeding my baby girl. Intended to exclusively breast feed but after having problems with latching, it seemed easier to pump and feed my baby girl. The kit came with (3) 5 oz bottles and slow flow nipples, and (6) 80 ml containers. This is the perfect kit to get started using trusted Medela Products. All the parts connect with other Medela products. The kit also came with 20 storage bags and connecters to connect directly to your Medela pumping parts and collect into the storage bags. Great for pumping at work and reducing the amount of bulk in your pumping bag!Unfortunately the slow flow nipples did not work for my baby girl as she would choke will taking a bottle. We switched to the  Medela Calma Breastmilk Feeding Nipple  and it has worked great! Baby has to suck on the Calma nipple to get milk and definitely helped to reduce choking on the milk.While baby girl is now taking 3 oz each feeding, the 60 ml containers are getting less use. I mainly use them to collect breastmilk when pumping. Overall great product Medela!

Great set, I like the variety.I only feed my baby woth breast milk. I mainly breastfeed but I always pump to store for special ocations. I use this kit mainly to store my milk, sometimes I use them to feed my baby.The bottles are good and sturdy, the nipples are also good. It’s very easy to clean and assemble. The bags are very useful to freeze the milk, they don’t spill and they’re nice and firm.At the behind I thought I wasn’t going to use the 3oz tubes, since I get lots of milk when I pump. But now that I have them I’m very happy woth them. I i use them to feed my baby snacks (2-3oz of milk) or when I pump milk at the end of the day when the production is lower.I must say, I use the Medellin breast pump.

When under twenty dollars this set is a much better buy than buying the parts separately, even lids, nipples, rings. I use all of these parts and needed more bottles, so was happy to get a great deal. The plastic lids and rings are known to break once in a while so there is a market for just lids, but buying lids and/or nipples+rings is comparatively a terrible buy. Buying this set just to replace lids just feels excessive, so buying this whole set just for lids might not necessarily be best, but it wouldn't be wholly unreasonable either! This would be a great starter set gift, similar to the storage set except with nipples instead of storage bin. The nipples flow a bit too fast for 0 - 3 or 4 month olds. Side by side with Enfamil (slow and standard), Similac (standard) and Lifefactory (stage 1) nipples, Medela Stage 1 drips faster, almost a stream with one of the nipples I got. I'll just save it for later.

I absolutely love this set. I ordered it right before my son was born to go with my pump. People have always recommended this brand to me so I figured I would give it a go. The smaller ounce bottles are convenient for small pumping sessions when you just need to pump enough for relief before nursing. The 5 ounce bottles are perfect for storing milk in the fridge for a few days and makes it easier to warm up and feed baby without having to pour a bag into a bottle. My son really likes the nipple flow, it's very similar to the breast and doesn't come out so fast that he chokes on the milk. The bags are perfect for storing and you can pump directly into them with an attachment so they come in handy and I haven't had any trouble with leaks. I'm giving this a 5 star because I'm 100% satisfied and will definitely be ordering more before the next baby comes!

I bought this to go with the manual medela pump and everything fits perfectly. The 2oz bottles are small, compact and cute and best for a newborn or simple storage. The 5oz bottles are the best. I originally bought Dr. Brown's bottles for this baby but they are the worst. They leak a lot even when the top is screwed on properly and too much parts to clean.I used advent bottles for my first child which were great but I could never get the manual advent pump to work (no suction)so I used the medela from the hospital and fell in love. The bottles are the best, simple and adequately sized for my now two month old. However, I did not use the bags yet because there are well enough bottles.

I bought this gift set for a few reasons. One of them being, it was a great way to get more bottles than what the pump came with. It also let me rest out the 3 oz feeding tubes and the milk storage bags. While I love the bottles for pumping and storing, my personal preference led me away from the tubes. They just took up too much space in the freezer, and if I was going to leave the milk in the bottle I would rather just throw a normal bottle in the fridge for later.While I liked the idea of being able to pump directly into storage bags, I did not like the medela bags. The plastic felt very brittle. They do not freeze flat at all, and they barely hold the 5 oz they are marked to hold. I ended up sticking with Lanisoh brand bags just because of the ability to freeze flat.However, while I didn't like 2/3 of the gift set, I would still highly recommend it for any mom who wants to try it out different storage methods for pumping, or to anyone going to a baby shower where the mom plans to breast feed. The bottles were very useful in the starting months, and I was able to figure out what I liked and didn't like for my storage through trial and error.

Great starter kit for Medela Breast Pump. Compatible with Medela Swing model. Loved the 80 mL mini-bottles for ease-of-use, however, my husband found them harder to read the measurement off than the standard 5 oz bottles. Note do not put any of the bottles down with pump still attached - will result in crying over spilled milk! Use the yellow base (not included with kit) if you put down the 5 oz bottles.Also to new mommas out there - get familiar with your pump, assemble and sanitize all parts before you need it. Although super straight forward system, nothing is easy to do when you’ve been awake for 72 hours, you are engorged and baby isn't hungry.

overall it is a good package, I really like the freezer bags. However, the nipple heads are low quality and i ended up not using them for my infant as she would get a lot of air with them as they are so flimsy. Also the tubes only holds 80ml my baby drinks 100-120 per feeding so is an awkward storage amount for me to have. It is good for if your baby needs a top up I would keep a little but of milk in them just in case. Good gift for the pumping mother that has the mandela pump.

I like this item as it has everything you need initially for storing breastmilk. All storage containers can be attached directly to your medela pump so no hassle of transferring/pouring to another bottle.

Did not look like the photo looks like it missing the bags. Still a good price. Package in really bad shape when it arrived home. Luc kily everything inside was intact. Took a long time to get.
