Vibram Women's Alitza Breathe-W

If you love to walk barefoot, (doing so is SO good for you) you will love Vibram Five Fingers shoes! The only thing I don't like about walking barefoot is rocks, dirt, and unmentionable things one could step in. This is where this type of lightweight "gloves for your feet" come in--protection for your soles but with a true barefoot feel and freedom. Remember, there is no built in arch support in VFF's but that's because you are exercising and strengthening what God gave you, and walking the way nature intended, with your own arches supporting you rather than artificial ones.I own an older pair of VFF in the Sprint style, but wanted something less sporty, and suitable for summer. The Alitza Breathe was available at a really good price so I jumped on them. The ankle strap has no appeal to me whatsoever, but I figured I could cut them off, which I did. If you do that to yours, here's a tip: the ribbon strap runs continuously under the insole, so tack down the instep part of the strap with needle and thread before cutting off the long straps. Otherwise, the decorative part on the instep will work its way loose and stick up. This probably won't make much sense to you until you have the shoes in front of you.I ordered size 39, as I am a women's size 8 and these fit perfectly. If anything, they are just a hair long, but my toes are short. And the two smaller toes are just a little pinched on the right shoe only--but they are stretching out a bit with wear, and I think will continue to do so. I also wear 39 in the Sprint (discontinued) style, so it seems to be running consistently so far. There's just enough room in the Alitza Breathe for some thin Injinji toe socks for cooler weather wear. I wish I could wear these everywhere, every day, but I can't, so I wear them every chance I get. Can't wait to try some other styles, as well.

They are comfortable and I will be wearing them a lot this summer. I would have given them a 5 but they bother one of my little toes if I wear them too long.

Love the look but they run small and hard on the pinky toe.

Ordered the size comparable to a size 8 I am a true size 8. This shoe was so small it looked like it was a shoe for a child. The UK sizes do not match up with the US sizes. They are either to small or too large. Won't order shoes unless they are US sizes. This is the second time I had to return shoes because of the UK sizing. In actuality one star is too much will not post without a rating. Item returned.

size does not match, its quite sad as I was very much looking forward to wearing these.

I wear Vibram Five-Fingers exclusively, so I know what I'm talking about. :D Not my favorite. I liked the idea of a breathable mesh version. However, the mesh is more "rope-like" and is a bit uncomfortable against my skin. The adjustable "feature" which allows you to tighten the laces over the front of your foot for a closer fit and then wrap around your ankle is a nice idea and works well for making a snug fit....HOWEVER...The laces start with a strap between your big toe and second toe, which pulls rather tight while you walk without having super loose laces. These may be good for a low impact work out, but I'd just stick with the standard Alitza which are FANTASTIC.

awesome shoes, look amazing and very comfortable! i can wear them with jeans or dresses, i love them!

Great shoes, love Vibrams, they take a bit of breaking in but once that's done they're so comfortable!
