can this be used with a pc/laptop or is this made for just xbox?

I've not used it with a PC, but the data sheet says it's compatible with Windows 8.1 and 10, so I don't see why not. It's not the cheapest or fastest portable drive available, but for an Xbox owner, the (limited availability) 2 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate voucher made it a good offer.

Whatz the difference between console and pc and xbox, style?

Its down to it being format to work for either pc, xbox or ps A pc formatted drive won't work on a console as it won't recognise it and vice versa. But you can reformat any drive if you know how. Plenty of advice on youtube
