This thig sets up fast and works great. If you are a shooter ad need a free standing target stand, this is great. While you are at Home Despot buying the 1X2s pick up some ground spikes to anchor it for windy conditions. I love it.

I like these for pistol and rifle target practice. They work well.

Would have gotten a 5 from me except for 2 caveats: 1. when open to the full 24" mark, the base doesn't lock down very well without kinking. The turnscrew engages fine, but there is simply not enough length for the sliding mechanism for the slider rails to keep themselves straight. Odd, because the targets that come with it are a full 24" wide. 2. The slots for the wood uprights are 1 by 2 inch, but a 6ft 1x2 has a lot of movement and play when inserted into the detents. A couple of thin plastic inserts might solve this, or wood inserts or wedges. Otherwise it works excellently! Heavy duty metal for the price, very compact and easy to bring to the site. Almost no assembly required. 10 bright targets.

This target stand came in super handy in a pinch. Turkey season is approaching quickly and I had to pattern my shotgun. The range has specific regulations regarding target height, so I needed something to match: this adjustable target stand base is perfect. Note: the wood is not included. I went to my local hardware store (not big box) and got two 1x2s, cut them, and easily inserted them into the frame. I like that the stand included 4 stakes to hold the base in because that makes sense and prevents me from having to set the stand up each time it gets hit. Nice attention to detail. The stand is super simple to assemble and the manufacturing quality is immediately noticeable. I have three different target widths, and this adjustable stand can accommodate each one. It's lightweight and easy to transport. The only drawback are the big black notebook clips that are included for holding the targets. My first shot decimated one clip, rendering it useless. I think including additional clips would be good to make up for the shoddy choice provided. Overall though, I am satisfied with my purchase and would likely recommend this target to my friends and relatives and rate it five stars.

Easy set up. Paper targets are made of thicker paper than others. Took to the range on a very windy day and the stakes kept the target in place. Other paper targets that were made by a very large, national outdoor retailer, ripped right off the frame in the high wind. These did not.

The outdoor range i go to has a REALLY hard ground. This is perfect for that. Even on windy days I can just hammer in the tie downs and we're good to go. If you're looking for a sturdy option thats fast to move and adjust this is it.

This is one well thought out piece of gear. Works perfectly. Simple to deploy and simple to get back in the box when you're done. Good value for the money. Not sure what folks are talking about where I read that the firring strips don't fit in the receivers. Nice snug fit for me and the welded in pieces inside the receiver part are somewhat spring loaded to hold the wood in nicely. I have it at its widest setting (24") and it is stable. Comes with clips and ground stakes if you need them for windy days. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this.

If you wanna get better at something you need the proper tools for practicing.
