Just what the doctor ordered
I was losing power and throwing a check engine light and after some research I found that this could be the issue, and it was. Easy fix that anyone can do, just two small screws to the right of the gas pedal. My truck is a 1999 F250 7.3 Turbo.

Works for 2003 E350 7.3 Powestroke diesel van.
This is not listed as fitting my 2003 Econoline E350 7.3 diesel. I couldn’t find a replacement for it anywhere, and I suspected this would work. It does work and is functioning well! I believe it would fit all 7.3 vans 2003 back to 1997 since they didn’t change much in those years.

Fixed throttle dead spot/surge, tranny jolt in my 7.3L
18Jan 2018 update. I was wrong. This part is fine. I will explain in some detail in case anyone else runs into an issue like I had. The problems I described in the 20Nov update where because of transmission line pressure problems. Turns out my transmission filter actually fell out of the transmission and was just laying in the pan. The jerking shifts steadily worsened and the car would drop out of drive and go neutral a lot in traffic. The flat spots were from my PCM trying to decide when to shift. All of this was because the transmission was starved for fluid. I fixed the filter and everything is functioning perfectly now.20Nov2017 update. It’s a “used car lot” replacement part. Other reviewer called it a 31 day solution and he was right. I now have jerking. Flat spots in throttle response. Weird shifting. Not as bad as before replacement but steadily getting worse every week. I will update again after proper diagnosis but I’m 99% certain it’s the sensor.Original review from March 2017. Worked for me. Fixed a crazy, random, dead spot /surge drivetrain jolt thing I was experiencing with my 7.3L excursion. Takes all of 40 minutes to replace with a 10mm socket, a screwdriver and a torx bit. Very pleased with this part and the results.

Worked for my 95 f250
Went in to part store to get part for the year it said it needed Throttle positioning sensor but part was wrong for my truck. So saw a picture for 96 sensor looked right. So bought knowing if it was wrong I could return and worked just fine.

Was not sure, but worked. 2000 f350 7.3
2000 f350 lariat 7.3. Mfg date 11/99. Was iffy on ordering this to fix my intermittent lack of throttle response and check engine light. Installed it yesterday. All is good now. Not sure the longevity of it lasting. But works for a good price

Great replacement part
I replaced a faulty Ford factory accelerator position sensor on my 2000 F350 with this Dorman sensor. I found it much more economical to replace the sensor only, rather than buying a complete pedal assembly. The sensor was easy to change, fit perfectly, and plugged in to the wiring harness just like the factory unit did. My glitchy throttle issues are cured with this new sensor at a fraction of the cost of a new pedal assembly. I am reluctant to rate this item with 5 stars only because I don't know how long it will last. I got about 125,000 miles out of the original pedal assembly, and about 125,000 miles out of a Ford factory replacement pedal assembly. If I get anywhere near that many miles out of this sensor, I'll gladly change my rating to 5 stars. Time will tell. Jan. 9, 2015 After only 25,000 miles, my Dorman sensor has failed. I think partly due to worn bearings or bushings within the pedal assembly itself. I therefore change my opinion of this product to: Great economical way to get you by for a while, and maybe buy some time, but I think it's actually better to go ahead and replace the complete pedal assembly.

Fixed my throttle problem
This fits my 1999 Ford F-250 7.3 liter diesel. I was having horrible throttle problems, this was an easy fix, about 10 minutes once I figured out how to do it. It's keyed poke-yoke style so you can't really get it wrong, and as long as it's laying flat along the accelerator and oriented correctly, it's just two bolts and you're done.

Best 40-mile part ever...
This... part... ROCKED... for 40 miles...Then it went quit working. Mile 41 and beyond was pure h*ll, with hard, jerking, shifting at all the wrong times.Still, 40 miles, that's gotta count for something, right?Summarily, this is your part if:- You only need to drive 40 miles, and no further...- Or, you're going to trade in your truck and the dealer is less than 40 miles away...- Or, you just like swapping this part frequently. I know I love that under-the-dash, twist-your-body-til-it-pulls-a-muscle approach...- Or, you decide to buy in bulk. You'll only need 375 of these, and $10,950 (plus shipping/tax), to get through an average year of 15,000 miles...You get the point... Go buy a Motorcraft part and save yourself the time and money that I did not.

Working good so far.....
6 months in and working good so far..........I actually remeber e-mailing doorman years ago out of frustration for no aftermarket support and suggested this item as you could only go with OEM. Glad I did as I didnt feel like doing this a 2nd time.
