Powerful and quiet
Great product, it’s extremely quiet, and energy efficient. I would definitely recommend this pump.

Great pump
I'm going on over a year with this pump for a 125 gallon saltwater tank and it is still running great. The pump is in my basement in the sump and sends water back up to tank on first floor of house with no problems at all. Super strong and quiet. Will order again, if I need to. Definitely recommend.

Very versatile
Very quiet. Multiple different options for hard piping and barbed fittings. Controller allows for adjusting pump flow by percentage of max flow.

the angled intake, perfect for my sump box
1st - I was hoping to go inline, the unit says it can, then says to tighten and glue, seeing how it was assembled, if you do all that and the o-ring fails (age/pressure etc.) you'll still have a puddle. 2nd - very compact design, moderate power, fit easily in my sump box, was the easiest pump replacement for a sump return unit I have ever had, the bottom feed intake, made it easier to refill my tank after working on the sump. 3rd - this is for a 55 gal, fresh water plant and quarantine tank. water output through 3/4 inch pvc about 6 feet of travel, unpressurized return is adequate, I am running at 85% or 30watts. the difference with the Iwaki clone (20+ yrs & 3 aquariums) is pretty vast, both on output and fuel use (way less for both). it is far quieter than the old pump. 4th - for me this was a good economical choice, fits the tank and its need, I doubt it would do as well for a similar size salt water set-up. Also being in sump, not inline, it would take space that skimmers and other salt water gear needed, now for a small refugarium it might do the task. I would buy again, probably higher output, not lower.

Reduce costs
Replaced a 240volt 35watt pond pump with this 24volt pump, to save on costs, reduce maintenance and to be able to adjust the flow via the controller. Works great with no loss of flow.

Doing great so far
Had an old Pondmaster 1000 submersible filter with 3/4" hose and needed a pump on it for a new 125-gallon indoor aquarium setup. Ran the 3/4" hose to the intake using the 3/4" soft tube connector (included), then put the 1" rigid pipe connector (included) on top to connect an outflow pipe to. Went to Lowe's and bought 1" PVC pipe and 45 degree elbow (do direct water up and away, across the tank from the end the filter is at, to get good flow). The 1" pipe and elbow were too big; took the 1" rigid pipe connector and figured out smaller PVC pipe and elbow (I think I got 3/4") were needed, and fit so snugly I haven't needed PVC cement (a can would've cost close to $8). Already have a saw to cut the PVC pipe. I adjusted it to the lowest flow setting, which looks vigorous enough but not too powerful. Very impressed with how quiet this pump is. The setup's in the living room, so noise matters, and so far, really happy. I put a row of bio media under the coarse filtration pad that came in the Pondmaster 1000 filter, so coupled with strong flow from this pump, that would do well. It's a turtle tank, so the water level is several inches from the top; hang-on-back filters like the AquaClear I feared could loose their prime in a blackout, and canister filters are a pain to take out, disassemble, clean and get primed again (I've used a few different models). This appears simple, easy and powerful. The pump has a button you can hit to stop flow 10 minutes while you feed fish, and the control panel hangs outside the tank.

Unfortunate because I was excited.
Ordered the 1720gph model. First one came missing the controller box and instruction manual. Had another shipped out. Came with all the parts and manual, BUT controller had rust in the plug hole like it was used, and pump did not displace any water whatsoever no matter what I tried. It turned on, but didn’t do anything. After trying multiple times and receiving error3: idle, I gave up and returned them both.

A MUST HAVE for turtles.
I am amazed how well this tiny pump works! I have turtles and one is in a 50 gallon tank but it needed weekly cleaning, changing the water, changing the cascade filter medium, tons of grossness. I purchased the Vitohome pond filter to attach the pump to. The pump takes little space but within 2 days (it was a test to see it's effectiveness starting from very dirty water I couldn't see through) the water was clearer in an hour and in two days crystal clear with no smell! If you have turtles even indoor in a large tank, a pond filter is essential. They are just so dirty and smelly but I've raised them for over 6 years now so They're family. I do not recommend. Turtles to anyone who can't get a large stock tank, pond filters, and constant time. See the video!

I will install it next Spring on a Solar system for my swimming pool. I will be in a position then to provide a better evaluation on its performance.

Is a powerful pump for such a size, it works well to draw water out of my reservoir tank to a height of 2.8 meter. The design can be improved with regards to the inlet holder as the threads can’t be exactly to the downward position.
