Good book, but desperately needs an editor
I'm a bit torn giving a review here. The content of book is fantastic. I believe anyone interested in IFS should read it to deepen their understanding of polarizations. That being said, the book (at least the kindle version) feels like a draft. There are so my typos and grammatical errors that it's difficult to read. Instead of being able to focus on the meaning behind the words, I have to spend time figuring out what the words are in the first place.

Excellent Reference and How-to Book
As a long-time therapist who mostly uses IFS, I have great appreciation for this book. It covers the subject of inner polarization, when we have inner parts that are in conflict with each other, such as a part that wants to lose weight and a part that loves to eat. Because it covers the subject of polarization so thoroughly, I use it as a reference manual whenever I have a question about polarization, whether it arises for me personally or in my work with my therapy clients. Jay Earley's writing style is remarkably focused, clear and easy to follow, at the same time giving a great deal of information about his chosen subject. There are many pertinent examples scattered through the book, which help me see just how polarization shows up, and then how to work with it. And this brings me to the aspect of this book that I appreciate the most - it gives a very clear, step by step process for healing inner polarizations so that both sides can not only willingly agree on a course of action, but can actually bring their positive qualities, previously hidden by the argument, to the new resolution. There is always such a burst of energy and delight for my clients when they successfully heal a polarization, get unstuck, and feel their new freedom to move forward. This book has helped me be more effective as a therapist, and is an invaluable reference in my IFS library.

Exceptionally Clear with Great Clinical Illustrations
Jay Earley, PhD, has a remarkable capacity for communicating complex ideas in a clear and straight-forward manner. With 40 years of clinical experience coupled with a passion for making the IFS model accessible to both therapists and lay persons, he has built upon his Self-Therapy book with a clear, usable elaboration of how to untangle conflicts between inner parts by cultivating a relationship with them and acknowledging their positive intentions. This new book provides more tools for enhancing self-leadership--a deep place of inner peace and integration of parts that can transform your experience of living--as it has mine. I found the step-by-step outline for working with polarization and the case illustrations particularly useful.

Really useful content but lack of editing is visible
It's a great book - the content is so useful. But pretty much every page has at least one typo. On one page 'manager' is spelled 'manger' in two paragraphs in a row ('manger' is a recurring theme actually). It distracts from the otherwise amazing content because it just seems a bit sloppy and lacking care for what is being released.
