CAWANFLY Protective Arm Sleeves, Level 5 Protection Cut Resistant Sleeve with Thumb Hole (Black)

These sleeves protect my arms well when pruning shrubs and dealing with cats.

I have used these now about 5 times and I am very happy with them. They do add protection and also support at the same time. I bought the grey ones with the half fingers. The first couple of wears were a little snug but they have broken in to my size very nicely. If I had one thing to add I would love for them to be about one inch longer overall (on my arm) - they do slide a little bit but not terribly.Updated 10/27/23 - I got another pair because I like them so much

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Been wearing these sleeves for months at work where I deal with hot metal and machines running all day. These keep my arms cool and offer some protection

I bought these to get my anxious, very angry, bitey cat to the vet. They worked perfectly! For the first time in many years, I was able to get him into a carrier without behaving to shed blood to do it.*Edited almost a year later- so I lost the original gloves and re-ordered a new pair because that same cat had an injury and I needed to get him checked out. I put on the gloves and tried to pick him up and he both scratched and bit me. at first it was working but then his teeth went right through the fabric, cut me pretty deeply in multiple places and his back claws scratched thru it also. I’ll add a picture later, I can’t right now because I just got done cleaning and dressing the wounds, and I don’t want to have to do it all over again. Hopefully I don’t need a trip to the doctor for this but it could end up requiring some medical attention. The first pair I had last year were great and worked perfectly. Something is different now. These were not nearly as effective.

I bought these from my husband who works in maintenance/facilities and is always getting his arms banged up. He was hesitant to wear them at first, but I insisted,. He absolutely loves them now! He has had several potential scrapes, bumps and bruises where if he didn’t have these on his arms, he would have gotten cut, bruised or scratched up badly. He realizes how valuable these are now and is really thankful I bought them for him. Great product!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this brand because reviews were pretty good. They do seem to have some level of heat protection and are resistant to being cut easily. They are super tight around the arms. (I'm 5'2" and weigh 125lbs) I'm not sure if they stretch as they are worn but thought I should mention that. I purchased for the purpose of animal handling, specifically feral or skiddidh cats/kittens and birds with talons. I volunteer as a foster for cats and I also volunteer with an wild bird/avian rehab. I was looking for something that would protect me more from puncture wound from claws, teeth, talons and sharp beaks. Unfortunately these are easily punctured with any sharp object. I hoped these would be good for that but as mentioned they do seem to be heat and slice resistant.

I work as a CNC operator and deal with very sharp pinions and gears for axle drives in cars and these are fantastic in protecting my arms against cuts. Work so great I just ordered 3 more pairs so I can alternate them. The elastic does get a little loose, but I literally wear them every single day so that's a given. For the value, they're great. 👌 if you're trying to protect your arms from ANYTHING sharp, the Kevlar does the job. I've taken a sharp knife just to test them and they hold up true 👍

They did protect me from thorns while pruning roses and citrus trees. But they're so long and heavy they get really hot (probably great for winter--but not much pruning needed then!). My arms are thicker than most, so it was uncomfortable forcing the gloves over my elbows.
