This lightweight yet ultra-sturdy lacrosse shoe from Asics gives you all the comfort and performance features you need to elevate your game plus the added ankle support of a mid-cut design. Constructed with a supple synthetic upper, the Gel-Provost is equipped with generous cushioning at the tongue and collar, reinforcement at the toe to protect against impact and abrasion, and a feather-light multifunctional cleat plate that helps keep the shoe's weight to a minimum. Rear-foot gel cushioning provides shock absorption where it's needed most, while the removable insole absorbs moistures and lends breathability. In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

Good quality, fit as expected.
Good quality, and for about half the price of the brands that want the 200% mark-up because there is a U or a swoosh on it. I ordered these for my 13 year old based on his regular shoe size. They fit as expected and he really likes them. He made a comment to me after practice that some of his team with those expensive U brand cleats were whining about getting their cleats muddy during practice, which made him laugh because, what are you supposed to do? So the short story here is, don't make your kid a pretentious jerk and buy him cleats he will cry over when they are scuffed or muddy. Buy your kid a real product and push them out of the car in the rain for practice.

Great for wide feet + ultimate frisbee
Great Cleat. Light, fast, good traction. A bit larger than I expected, but my size ranges from 11.5-13 depending on the shoe. I use the cleat for Ultimate Frisbee. I have wide feet and this is one of the most comfortable cleats I've used.

Wide hard to fit feet, happy, right out of the box!
My preteen son loves these cleats! He was a very happy boy with very happy feet this week during practice (Rugby right now, but he’ll also use these for tackle football season too, hopefully). He wore them without any pain, or feeling as though they need broken in. He has very wide, flinstone feet, he’s 11 1/2 (think lineman), and wears a men’s 10.5 wide (his go to daily shoes are either New Balance size 10-2E, or Nike Air Monarch 10.5-4E). Needless to say, we have a terrible time finding wide, comfortable shoes and especially cleats. We’ve tried lots of other cleat brands (Nike, Adidas, and UA) with mixed results. Usually we have to size up to accommodate for the foot width (even if offered in a wide), which is just not comfortable nor helpful in sports (my son described his movements as almost clumsy when we had to size up). Although Amazon is usually our go to, finding wide width cleats is really tough, and the ASICS cleats didn’t come up while searching, I found the tip to check out Lacrosse cleats from another site.We ordered both the ASICS Men's GEL-Prevail Mid Lacrosse Shoe, and this shoe, the ASICS ASICS Men's GEL-Provost each in a 10.5. The Provost has wider in the toe box, and had a better base width overall - they won by a landslide for my son. I want to point out, these are not sold as wide width cleats, yet they fit him very well in width and length. For the price, even if they just last the Rugby season, I’d be ok picking up another pair for football (we paid nearly $100 for some Nike’s last season, which he complained about, a lot). Im happy to have found these. The shipping and handling was timely with Prime. As long as he’s active in a sport requiring a cleat, and maintains these monster feet, I suspect we’ll be repeat customers.

Great for players with heel pain
We bought these for my 11 year old son who plays lacrosse. He suffers from severs disease which can make running (and walking) quite painful, but these cleats are the first that haven't aggravated the condition. He can now play an entire game without heel pain. I highly recommend these cleats

Make Certain Your Size
I rate this product 3/5 because I own and have owned a plethora of ASICS shoes over the past decade which are all very consistent in size. These were markedly too large (by half a size at least), so I'm returning them for a smaller size. Otherwise, they seem like a good product. I'll post a follow-up when my new, smaller cleats arrive.

Great Product, Difficult to Find
My son has flat feet and has problems finding football cleats that won't hurt his feet. Nike dominates the retail stores but are always too narrow for his feet. We found some Addidas that fit well at the store and bought them for the 2011 season. They were very light and looked awesome. Four weeks in and he was complaining about severe pain in his feet and ankles. His running shoes have always been Asics, so I started searching for a pair of Asics cleats. All the retail chains had Asics cleats for track and soccer, but nothing for football. I took a chance and found these on Amazon. Amazon has a great return policy and process so I wasn't that worried. The are not cheap(especially with the next day delivery) and are not as light as the Addidas, but his pain was gone within a week. He has five TDs thru 3 games.

Great Discount, but Sized inconsistently
i wear a size 12 asics running shoe. this did not fit the same but it's too late to return. thankfully this was some sort of clearance price so it's not the worst purchase, just unusable bc it gives bad blisters.
