Good dresser for a nursery.
Very sturdy and not that difficult to put together. The dresser looks great and matches well with the other nursery furniture (crib). It roomier than it looks as well. The three big drawers fit a TON of stuff, the cabinet is good for linens and whatnot, and the small drawer is good for diapering supplies. The dresser comes flat packed in 2 boxes and almost nothing is pre-assembled. However, I had no problems following the directions and assembly took about 2 hours. Once completed this thing is solid, easily holding my weight, even standing on it. The surface wood/finish is relatively soft so it will scratch easily, however on the light colored wood it is barely noticeable. There is Styrofoam in the packaging which protects the pieces rather well, but makes for an ungodly mess once it is all complete. Bring a vacuum.Overall I am very happy with the purchase.Pro's* Easy to assemble* Solid construction* Looks good* Storage spaceCon's* Scratches easily* Lots of packaging mess to clean up

Looks great, but good luck putting it together!
I like to think I'm pretty darn handy, I'm a DIYer and have done many home renovations and built plenty of furniture. This piece was one of the worst I've seen when it came to instructions and quality of parts. It took me approximately 5 hours to put the thing together. There was a section of the instructions that were just plain wrong, and if I didn't have the sense to question it the feet of the dresser would have been installed INSIDE where the drawers go. The pieces alone weren't great quality, two pieces (interior support pieces) arrived broken but I was able to use wood glue and clamps to repair. However, when it was all said and done and everything was put together, it looks great and feels solid. It looks great in the nursery and I think will hold up to the test of time, just be forewarned about the instructions and frustrations of putting it together!

Think IKEA-grade furniture with worse assembly instructions
I was worried about ordering this for my daughter's nursery because of the mixed reviews. I purchased at the right moment, though, so I got this dresser for about $215 with free shipping, and I definitely think that it is worth that price. I will clarify, though, since there is some mixed and confusing information about this product, that this dresser is NOT solid wood--it's wood and particleboard. Think IKEA-grade furniture with worse assembly instructions. That said, this dresser is really attractive, and it's perfect for my daughter's nursery. I believe it will grow with her, and I certainly expect it to last for several years without issue. Design-wise, I think it looks better than a lot of IKEA dressers, so I'm happy we went this direction. I'm not crazy about the knobs, so I'll probably replace those with something a bit more modern, but otherwise it's a nice piece of furniture and the perfect size and height to use for a changing table.

Looks Great
I purchased this to go with my Davinci Emily 4-in-1 crib. My husband and father worked together to put this piece of furniture together. They said that it was a pain, but that all it really took was a lot of patience and a little bit of extra time. I didn't experience any problems with the varnish smelling badly. As others have mentioned, if you don't want a piece that shows wear, you might want to look at something else. This is made of very soft wood (pine), so dents show easily. However, the oak color does a nice job of making the wear and tear less obvious than on darker models. The price on Amazon was great--the best I found! Shipping was good and the product arrived undamaged. The one thing to think about before you purchase is the set up of your nursery and where you plan to put this. While it's a great space saver, if you don't have a space where it will work to have the changing table piece on the left, this might not be for you. Ours ended up in a corner in a slightly less than ideal position because I didn't think about this before hand. The bottom line is, I would definitely buy this piece again. It looks so great and is an awesome way to save a little bit of space!

Could be great, but cheap materials ruin this dresser
We ordered this product along with a matching crib ( DaVinci Kalani Convertible Baby Crib - Cherry ). These appeared to be a nice middle-ground between the really cheap particle-board and cardboard dressers at $200 and the (beautiful) Amish solid wood pieces at $1400+. The crib is wonderful, and aside from scratching easily it is fantastic. This dresser, however, is another story. In addition to the solid wood frame, the drawers have particleboard frame, and the drawer bottoms are the thinnest, cheapest cardboard you can find. All of the hardware in the dresser is of poor quality, which caused numerous problems during assembly. In one case, the screws pulverized the particleboard and I needed to purchase a new screw, drill my own hole, and hope that I didn't destroy the wood in doing so.As other reviewers have mentioned, the drawers also come apart fairly often (once/month). I have been tempted to glue the drawers to decrease this frequency. My concern with that is that the cardboard is so cheap, that I'm not sure it would hold up to the gluing, and I think that might be the end of the drawers. The entire unit sways a little bit too. Tightening it only makes it worse (yikes!).Overall a big disappointment. It looks beautiful, but it won't hold up. We should have either spent less, or more on something that will really last.
