Having issues installing. The drain has holes for overflow but the just leak. Did anyone else ha e this issue?

Please make sure your sink have overflow hole that we indicate in product description. if not, you have to choose a drain without overflow. then you should check your darin holy.our drain only can fit 1 5/8"or 1 3/4''. while you are installing, you should put some plumbers putty. the detail is on the instruction.
