Did the job!
Like many people we purchased this purely to install 2 CD programs on a new laptop due to the manufacturers deeming new equipment no longer needs a DVD/CD drive! It was simple to install and loaded a 10 year old CD program with no problems, it will now languish in the draw for many years but hopeful it will still work when the need arises again :-) Happily recommend.

It works fine.
Nice bit of kit, only needed it to install software because some genius decided new laptops no longer need optical drives. certain it will come in handy in the future as well.

Excellent
The external DVD drive is absolutely amazing, really love it, it's very easy to install( just connect it via USB) and that's it your computer will do the rest and will let you know when the drive has been installed now insert your DVD and play. So easy to install and use. Excellent value. Brilliant 👏👏👏👏👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Plug 'n' Play
Easy to use, just plug 'n' play. Worked first time on my windows 10 PC. Didn't have download any drivers. The only drawback is the captured lead is very short, so had to order an USB 3 extension lead. Good value.UpdateAfter initially giving this a 5 star rating, i have now changed it to a 3 star because it is soooo slow. It took 28 minutes to rip a 70 min CD to a FLAC file at 950kbps. It seem to have problems reading and ripping discs with a long play list ie discs with 70 - 80 mins of music.22/2/21 UpdateHave now decided to return this.

Excellent DVD drive
First class drive, no problems at all, no read/write errors so far. Was recognized instantly by our Linux PC. Recommend.

Hasn't worked
Hasn't worked since the day I brought it. I am able to get the files up with it, but I can't seem to play DVDs on it or Games on it. Now it won't eject so I can't get the DVD I put in it out. I would send it back, but I don't want to spend the money to send it back, so might just chuck it.
