This yarn is gorgeous! It is a fine, almost lace-weight yarn. It would make gorgeous light scarves or shawls. I am an adult who collects dolls and loves making wardrobes for them, so I use this yarn for dolls clothing. It is lovely to knit or crochet with, although it does like to split a little from time to time. I am using the smaller sizes of hooks and needles, however, and I suspect that larger sizes, which is what one would be using for scarves or shawls, would probably not split the yarn so easily. I acknowledge that my opinion is suspect... After all, I am an adult who "plays" with dolls, but I have been working with yarns since I was about 12 years old (now a senior citizen), and I love this yarn. Does it have somewhat limited use? Yes, it does, but if your skills allow for a fine weight, slightly difficult to use yarn, I recommend it!

The picture does it justice! Ordinarily the saying would go 'the picture doesn't do it justice' but we yarn lovers know all too well what it's like to pick out a yarn that looks stunning in the picture and then when it arrives the colors aren't as bright and the weave isn't as smooth or the sparkle doesn't hold luster. This yarn is NOT like that. It is EXACTLY as it appears in the photo right down to the tiniest hint of metallic sparkle peppered through it. The description recommends using it as an additive in tandem with a larger yarn but I think that would be a complete shame. Trust me on this, once you have it you're going to want to break out your tiny needles and use it as is on it's own so plan accordingly and buy enough for whatever project you have in mind. It's delicate but the end result is going to be luxurious!

I started a baby blanket & ordered additional skeins to make sure I had enough. I make my baby blankets about 3x5 so they're big enough to use as they go and throw over the carrier car seat to block wind, cold & sun. I was really surprised how much worked up from 1 skein. This color is turning out so beautiful.

Perfect for shawls, gloves or socks. Can also be added to another solid yarn for some added POP..

I bought the "Stargazing" variety because I really wanted something in dark colors and this looked perfect with what I thought would be red and black. When I got it, the colors were extremely different. The black is dark blue (but not dark enough to be considered navy even) and the red is pink. Overall, the colors are a LOT lighter than they look in the pictures of it. It looks much more tropical than I expected, but I suppose that's fitting given the other colors in the series. I've also bought the "Treasure Island" color and the photo of the full skein is accurate but the other one is a hilariously bad representation of it. That said, I really love this yarn! While the colors weren't what I'd anticipated, they're still nice. The yarn is also really nice to work with and the shine of the golden thread through it is beautiful. I plan on buying more versions of it and even if the colors are off, I'm sure I'll still be satisfied with it.
