Works great
Very nice to control temp. Can set to 300 for most small wires then 400 for bigger wires. Dont want to set it to 400 always as you will build up char on the tip the hotter you go.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I needed to find an iron I could adjust nice and low to melt wax for filling small imperfections in hardwood flooring and this works perfect! I tried many with no luck. Most irons on their lowest would burn wax changing its coler and creating smoke but not this one.Crank it up a bit more and it seems to work fine soldiering as well.

Fantastic quality iron, terrible user interface
Truly wonderful quality soldering iron, a joy to work with. But good golly what brain addled space alien designed the user interface for the digital temperature control. Works great once you figure it out but don't throw out your user manual.

Great unit! Built to last!
This is a great unit! I’m just starting to solder and this unit is great for beginners. It’s easy to use and works great. I’m sure this unit will last a long time and will continue to help me with my engineering projects.

It's good until it isn't.
This thing has gotten me through a ton of work, so I can't fault it too much. The temperature control while mostly accurate, really isn't depending on the tip you are using. Some of the provided tips don't conduct heat well where they should, so you end up with inconsistent results. The wand itself gets very hot, so much the plastic will start to degrade after a few months of use.Lastly, tips.. If you need replacement tips for this thing, you are on your own. The provided tips will wear out much more quickly than others (the chisel tip literally melted in on itself after a few months use). Finding replacement tips for this thing is impossible. They do tell you in the Q&A section what the size of the tips are, but do not tell you where to purchase them - you know why? Because no one makes them. It would seem the only way to get new tips is to buy a whole new unit. There are better on the market, I would probably not recommend this thing to anyone.

Great Soldering Station
This is a great soldering station for the price. I love the sleep mode. After 10 minutes, it goes to sleep and cools to below 400 degrees. Once you lift the soldering iron out of the holder, it gets back to full temp within 10 seconds. I cannot recommend this unit enough.

Happy Customer for Modeling Railroading
I did not purchase this item; however, my 16-year-old son did and he is absolutely thrilled with it. His hobby is model railroading in order to solder track. He has been thrilled with the product and has been happily working with it since its delivery. Solid product that should last him for some years to come.

Great soldering station for the price
Needed to replace a 20 yo analog beast. Didn’t want to spend a bundle. This unit for around $20 works well, so far, and takes up minimal bench space.
