Great Pedals
I was a little skeptical of clip less pedals but I was convinced finally and these are great. They are almost always turned right side up for easy clip in. I have somewhat stronger legs but clipping out is not a problem at all. The power gained on the upstroke helps greatly. These are a little more pricy than others but I think it is worth it to have them turned correctly and just the overall quality is great.

Great pedals, good value compared to Dura Ace
I finally upgraded my road bike from eggbeaters to these bad boys. What a difference. I haven't had any problems clipping in or getting out. It takes a pretty firm kick to get out, which inspires confidence when out of the saddle. Light weight (compare to Dura Ace - trivial difference if any). The cleats appear to be fairly durable. Bottom line: id buy again in a heartbeat.

I loved the float of the Time pedals on my MTB ...
Long time Time pedal user on both my MTBs and Roads. I loved the float of the Time pedals on my MTB so I got the Time RXS Carbon for my road. The RXS have worked great and I've had no knee issues. After about 2k miles on them though the bearings started to fail and I was getting a small amount of play in the pedals. I used them for a bit more ignoring the issue and finally called Time who warranted them, so they do have excellent customer service. In come the Shimano Ultegra pedals. I needed something to use while my pedals were at TIme and I've read so many good thing about these pedals. My main concern was the float and possible knee issues. I've used Shimano on my MTB and didn't like them. I must say that my experience on these has been a very positive one. The platform and power transfer of these pedals is incredible, much better than the TIme RXS. There is definitely a lot less float than the RXS but the Shimno still offers some, enough where I have no knee issues. I think what helps too is that I have wedges under my cleats for varus support.I'm so glad that I made the switch. These pedals are solid. Great build, weight and they look good. Plus they are easily serviceble. You can't go wrong with these.

great pedals
replaced my worn out look pedals with the 6800, I really like the cleats very comfortable to walk in and designed so they don't wear out as fast they click in very easily, very well designed pedal you won't have to flip the pedal to click in they are balanced to be vertical so your shoe slides right in, was a difficult decision between the look keo and the Shimano I feel I made the right choice.....on trac shipping is great I ordered on friday morning and got them monday afternoon three days sooner than promised!!!!!!!!!!

Great and Light Pedals
I waited several months before mounting these pedals because I was concerned that I'd ordered the +4mm axels by mistake, and that these would be too wide compared to my old Alloy Ultegra pedals. Then one day I pulled them out the box only to find that these were the exact same dimensions as my old pedals. As I removed my old pedals and held one of them along side of these- wow! what a difference in weight. I immediately put these on my bike and have been happy I did ever since. After all I pick up my pedals 90 times a minute while riding. These 6800s that are carbon fiber are just as smooth and supportive as my old alloy pedals, but with much less weight. Now after riding with these pedals for over 2 1/2 months, I'm very pleased on how well they're holding up and still look. I was concerned about how well carbon fiber would stand up to scuffing and scratching, and so far so good.

Great pedals -- took a bit to get used to
I purchased these pedals for my Trek Emonda SL 6 (Ultegra). These were so easy to install and I mounted the cleats on my shoes in minutes. The first thing that I noticed when I tested these out is how easy it is to snap in and out of these, but only if the pedals are face up. It took a bit of getting used to. My previous pedals were a little bit easier to pedal while not snapped in. My shoes tend to slip off the back side of the pedals if they are faced down, making a little tough to get started from a complete stop. This might have more to do with the shoe rather than the pedal, but I am not sure. Either way, I am getting much better at it, so it is less of a problem than it was on day 1. I've ridden several hundred miles with these pedals so far, and they have helped on some of the toughest hills and with overall performance. They are a must for anyone that has the Ultegra Group Set for their road bike.

A worthwhile upgrade over 5700/5800/6700 pedals.
I've had a variety of Shimano SPD pedals; I put 5700s (the 105 line) on my first "real" road bike (a Felt Z5). When those those started to show some serious wear, I put them on my backup bike and went to Shimano 6700 pedals. Frankly, I didn't notice much difference between the 5700 and 6700 models (and didn't expect to, as the main difference was that the 6700s used materials that offered a negligible weight savings and little else). The 6800 pedal is a definite step up from the 6700. There's a noticeable weight savings for those that count every gram (not a big deal to me), but the real improvement is in the precision of the step-in mechanism. I find it much easier to click into these than on the 6700. Moreover, I paid less for these 6800 pedals than I did for my original 5700s six years ago.

I know some people like them but they didn't work for me
I found them very hard to get out of quickly and returned them because it was causing me anxiety thinking that I was going to fall. I adjusted them down to the easiest setting for quick release and it was still way to hard. I know some people like them but they didn't work for me. FYI - Shimano does make an 'LA' version which stands for light assist. These would be better although I haven't personally used them.
