I used these for a family heritage/history wall. Love these frames!

Assembly was extremely simple and quick. Hung this at the end of our hallway and love the way it fits perfectly! The frames obviously still have the stock photos in them, but I can't wait to personalize this even more. Each rod holding a frame can be moved and re-arranged along with the frames they are holding, they simply clip onto the back of the rod going across the top and little notches on the back of each frame. I definitely recommend for a simple, quick, and cute addition to your home.

Looks great on the wall

These are a great idea and look awesome with my modern farmhouse style home. They are fairly simple to put together and I figured it out with hardly looking at the instructions, which are simple wordless drawings anyway. I used all black and white photos and did them all vertical since the photos I wanted to use happened to all be vertical. I also used 5x7’s for all of them. The clear glass border is just smaller on the smaller frames, but there still is one like the others, so it works. A lot of people seemed to think these came with mats and were deceived. The photos are actually supposed to be “floating” inside the frames and have a clear glass border around. What they were probably seeing in the photos was the white wall behind it, making it look like it came with mats. I actually think it looks really good, classy and modern with just the glass and doesn’t need mats. I know mats are still really in style right now, but since these frames are pretty small, I think the mat would be too much. The only thing that worries me about it is, while the bar that screws into the wall is super secure, the dangling parts are not. They do hang away from the wall a little and can swing if you bump into it and there’s no way to lock the little bars in place nor the frames. I totally get why it’s like that, so you can easily change the pictures out or make adjustments to the positions but I’m worried that one will eventually get knocked off and break. I did try to put some thin tape on the backs of the unsecured parts but don’t know how well that will hold up. I still love them though and am hoping nothing happens because if one breaks, you’d have to replace the whole thing or reposition and lose a frame which may not look right. I also wish they came in multiple sizes, like way larger frames, because I had a better spot I could have put them in. I did understand the dimensions ahead of time though and knew they were small so I’m still ok with them and the spot I picked. The best spot for these would be way out of reach though, due to the unsecured parts. Make sure to measure everything first since you aren’t able to put the whole thing together first and then hold it up to the wall to see what height it will look good at.

This piece always gets compliments from visitors. Light weight, easy to install, sooo worth the cost! The photos hold nicely and you can put them in super easy. I got them in black and it looks so clean. I bought two because my wall is huge and it is so pretty to look at.

Great looking! Plus less than the cost of pottery barn!

It took me quite a while to get this looking the way I had hoped it would look. The design is clever, but super flimsy. I bought 2 sets to go side-by-side on the wall and Umbra sent me a third when I sent them pictures of crooked frames in one of the sets. Be aware that there is no matting in the frames--the photos are supposed to be centered in the glass and the wall behind serves as the border. My main problem with this set is that the frames are not flush on the wall so you get weird shadows that ruin the border effect. (Note: for those of you mounting it that way, tiny, thin glue dots on the back of the top and bottom should help you keep them centered between the glass panels.) When I decided to purchase mats for the frames I found that they were not standard US sizes, so I could not purchase an inexpensive multipack of mats. Instead I found a company on Etsy that would custom cut them for me at almost $7/ mat. So, it looks nice now, but the framing set is way overpriced for the quality of the product. I would only recommend it if you are well aware that you are taking on a project and most likely will have to spend additional money to get it looking the way that you want.
