JL AUDIO TR650-CXI 6.5" 2 WAY CAR STEREO SPEAKERS 6 1/2

I got these to replace my factory speakers in my 2008 Honda Accord coupe with the premium sound. They are more clear, but don't let the 270 watt claim fool you. These have lower wattage requirements than other upgrades (and other JL's) but still sound better with an amp. The factory speakers off the head unit weren't as clear but had better mid base and I think volume. Once amped, they came alive! They aren't gonna scream like higher models but they are where I wanted speakers to be. I had Kickers (DS 6.5" I think) in my 2007 Toyota off factory deck and they sounded great without an amp and a Bazooka topped them off. I might have been okay with DS Kickers again and not needed an amp, but these JL's with an amp I already was gonna get for my 12" Kicker Comps...this is good stuff! You can't ever go wrong with JL. Some reviews said they used as factory replacements, maybe my other car was different (tho rated less watts) but I had to amp these (and yes, they have a capasitor on them). Price wasn't bad for JL's.

I bought these to replace the stock speakers in a 2012 MINI Cooper. (paired with JL Audio TR400-CXi)Great sound and a good balance of highs and lows.The only downside (in my particular case) is that the mounting holes in the speakers didn't match the holes in the car; not the speakers' fault, but something to note.Buy these.

I replaced the stock speakers in the doors of my Chevy Malibu with these JL Audio speakers and the difference is significant. They are crystal clear and handle bass well. They made such a difference and I liked them so much that I replaced my rear deck speakers with JL's as well. I was pretty happy with the stock speakers in my car and really didn't know what I was missing until I installed the JL's. Good speakers at any price. I'm very happy with them.

I was anxious to get these speakers in. I did a lot of research on which ones I should purchase. I finally settled on these and clicked buy now. I had to wait the weekend and took time off today (tuesday) so that I can install them. Had my car taken apart and then opened the box to find....Someone else's factory speakers. WHOA! Wait a minute. How the the heck did I get two factory speakers...worse than the factory ones I have in my car in a JL Audio box that is described as NEW! Amazon is doing everything they can to make me a happy customer but, this was just a total fail! They can not even replace them because they say it is out of stock. NOW, I have to choose another pair of speakers and have them overnighted because I already have my car torn apart and dont want to put it back together just to take it apart again. So, as far at the "product" goes, I can not rate it. But, as far as buying from the seller Amazon uses on this product it is a total FAIL and should drop them as a vendor!

I replaced factory speakers in a 2001 beetle and 2000 Jetta with these and am very happy. Combined with an Alpine head unit (CDA105 & CDE102) they reproduce every instrument with clarity. It can be turned up so loud you can't talk to someone next to you in the car and yet there is no irritation or pain. It's pure clean sound. Bass response is good. They don't sound like a subwoofer and won't shake the mirrors off the car, but the sound is crisp, clean and realistic. I'm very pleased.

I bought these to replace some Polk component speakers I had in my car. I got 2 sets for the cost of one of those and WOW these are way better! I can hear the highs so much more clearly and crisper. I wouldn't say life changing but for the same price for 2 sets as one set of the other speakers I had I am definitely now a fan of JL Audio!

If your looking for a speaker for mids or highs these are great, but for any type of lower bass guitar or bass drum or heavey beat they struggle.Delivery responce time was great. We will have to see how they do after the entire system is together.

I installed these speakers into an old car that had stock speakers which lost a lot of their sound from exposure to moisture, sun and just plain age. These units were a good improvement.
