Grimoire of Santa Muerte: Spells and Rituals of Most Holy Death, the Unofficial Review: Rich, powerful, very well written - It is a very informative book. It has a rich history and gives sound advice on Santa Muerte and how she came to be a powerful Saint. I like how the author doesn't make Santa Muerte out to be some vengeful spirit, who seeks retribution if you mess up or forget something in dealing with her, as I've seen in other material. Out of all the books I own in regards to Santa Muerte, I enjoy and frequently go to deGregorio's books the most. Well worth the price, both Part One and Part Two. It is very well written. Review: The Lady of Death and Life - I had seen statutes of this saint before and heard a tiny bit about her and was intrigued enough to give this book a try. Its a slim volume, but well worth it. It covers the background of Santa Muerte, including speculation that she has much more to do with pagan beliefs from Europe mingled with South American native beliefs and Goddesses (which makes sense, then, why the Catholic Church would be against actually approving her as a saint), and what aspects of life and death she has power and influence over and so can work to your safety, health, and prosperity. The author retells some of the stories about Santa Muerte has appeared to people (a lady in white normally, white being the color of mourning and death in the cultures she springs from), plus how you can associate her with other colors depending upon what you need help with...from romance to legal battles to danger and so on. She gives a color guide to use with her, objects commonly associated with Santa Muerte, some of this saint's other titles/names, and what kind of offerings to make. The book also tells you how you can set up your own altar and/or shrine to Santa Muerte, including that its best to make it personal to your relationship with her and to keep it hidden from the eyes of others if you want your prayers to work the best with her. She has both more Christian and more pagan versions of some prayers and also explains the Catholic nuances for those reading the book who have no Catholic background to draw upon, such as the Lord's Prayer and the Hail Mary and using the rosary. Even with that, this is a very pagan friendly book, one that definitely leans towards the pagan and native roots of this saint and makes it quite easy to see her as a Goddess rather than a saint. Especially since she is clearly based upon older native Goddesses and belief systems. For someone interested in exploring this saint/Goddess, I would recommend this book. If you want to go further than that and invest in building a relationship with this saint/Goddess, this book gives very clear steps as to how to do that, including what will be expected on your side of things to undertake a strong devotional interaction that will prove beneficial to you both.

Of All the Books on How to Work with Santísima Muerte, These Are the Best!
I’ve read a lot of Santa Muerte books. Long story, but I took a break from my practice with Her and gave away a lot of my stuff. Recently She has been calling to me again and this one and Volume 1 were the first two books I reordered to get me back up to speed. If you could only choose two books on working with Santísima, get Volumes 1 & 2. They are a pretty complete system that could set you for working with Her for a lifetime. There was mention of a Volume 3 and I really hope the author releases that one as well. These books are simple enough to start someone from scratch, yet pull in even an experienced practitioner. I’ve thought about getting my copies spiral bound at the FedEx Office so that they can lay flat during workings. This system is very practical and straightforward, yet really seems to get the attention of Santa Muerte. I only wish I could find someone good to guide me even deeper into Her initiatory mysteries—things that really shouldn’t be conveyed in any book. However, I’m a bit obsessive like that. Most people would be very content with the very thorough system laid out here. Do yourself a favor and pick up both Volume 1 & 2. I plowed through the first one the first time I got it and had to wait all antsy for Volume 2 to come. They are such beautiful works that really simplify the art of implementing a potent devotional practice.

Excellent First Book for the Uninitiated
I have been tearing through a number of books on the worship of Santa Muerte. I will tell you none of the authors who write these books seems to agree with each other about everything, but each has good and doubtful things to offer to building a personal relationship with Santa Muerte. I do have to say: this one is a great place start for neophytes (especially if you are coming from other than a Catholic background). It lays out simply how to start, what spells prayers you can try but leaves it up to the reader to decide how they want to connect with Santa Muerte. This wasn’t the first book I read on the subject of Santa Muerte but it probably would have been about the best place to start.

Awesome Grimoire of Santaria to add to your collection about Santa Muerte!!!
I just LOVE this Grimoire!!! As a follower of the Cult of Santa Muerte, I found it very informative, even for the beginner in the practice. It has easy to follow spells, and prayers to our Most Holy Death. I recommend this book for anyone that wants to practice Santaria. It gives a great history lesson as well to understand where the connection is between the goddess from the old world to the new. It has step-by-step rites to follow for specific results that you want to obtain. Santa Muerte is VERY powerful, and you need to understand how to honor your Saint. I recommend this book to the people that come to me for help as a curandera. Sophia diGregorio has provided a wonderful Grimoire for the serious practitioner of the art of Santaria. I hope that she continues to publish more books on this. Well written and easy to follow. I wish I could give this book 10 Stars!!!

Book of Santa Muerte
This book is pretty good for beginner Devotees but it’s in English😅 It gives you the traditional prayers and the pagan prayers on how to pray to La Flaca. It also gives you a history on how Flaca came about, what each symbols mean about her and many spells that you can ask her to do with you!

I found it to be informative but as there is limited information about Santa Muerte in english, there is little to compare the information against. I was able to read the main body within a couple of hours, this being an introduction to where there following can from, some stories of apparitions and information on developing an altar, calling upon her and was to worship. The rest of the book provides detailed prayers and spells for issue you might need to over come. It also contains all the details for praying her rosary and how to start prayer. I particularly found the links with Catholicism the most interesting and the info given on how the church has adopted paganism into its practice including how the sign of the cross is actually invoking the elements as is the Lord's prayer. As there is no central organised source for the following, i think this is a good resource although it may be too basic if a person has been following her for years, someone looking for information especially in written English will find this book of value.

Totally love this book. Lots of fantastic information

Most Holy death is so misunderstood and the Author shows you the truth of how warm, loving, kind, devorted Santa Muerte is. Through this Grimoire you begin to understand why Most Holy Death has millions of devotees. She is not symbol of Evil but truly a Grandma figure of understanding, protection, peace & love. Looking forward to number 2.
