Very Good Pieces
When I opened this I was very pleased that the pieces use a nice selection of fingerstyle note ranges for the beginners’ level.It is a nice selection of pieces with excellent markings.I have taught for many years and it did seem in some previous editions that a large range of lower notes was a challenge for first grade.However, the grade levels for entrants are still distributed by the same amount, and in my experience pupils are consequently now differentiated more on rhythm and tempo,which may suit some more than others.
