I'm crazy about this. It will be a gift for a friend who has a black dachshund. Beautifuly made. I want one, too!

I did a lot of research before deciding on this toy. The dog itself is so perfect in size perfect for my little 11 months old hand to hold. He loves dogs and when we first rolled it into the room he lite up laughing and smiling with the way it moved and tail. It doesn’t topple over earlier and the string is a good length. It’s light weight and easy to travel with. Honestly best little toy ❤️I would say the paint does chip easy from the wheels if using outside the house but totally doesn’t matter when your child loves it .

*UPDATE* 2 years later & puppy is STILL his favorite! And, surprisingly, puppy is still going strong after being played with by all 6 kids for 2 years solid. Best toy purchase I’ve ever made! He truly is magical.I bought this toy for my 2 year old son based on the wonderful reviews... and I'm not at all disappointed. I don't know what kind of magic this puppy holds, but it has been my son's favorite toy for the last 6 months, since he received it. He takes it with him everywhere. He's not really a toy lover either... nothing really captivates him for the long run, except for this puppy. We recently went on vacation and he insisted on bringing it with him, which was fine as it's small and compact. He played with it the entire trip, just as he does at home. It's a sweet and simple toy that has some other magical quality which makes it very special. It's held up with daily hard use for the last 6 months. An all around fantastic toy. Will be gifting this puppy forever. Thanks for enchanting my son!

Bought this a few months ago for my granddaughter who was into toys she could pull. Everything she had would flip over and bounce along behind, frustrating her. I was intrigued by the low center of gravity for this little guy, and the way his head would turn to follow along.It did not disappoint, very well made, doesn’t tip over all the time, and the pull cord is long enough that he trails happily along behind her rather than hitting her heels. I saw some reviews saying they were disappointed in the smaller size of this toy, but I think it’s the perfect size for a toddlers little hand, and that’s who it’s designed for. My ONLY regret is that I wish I had purchased it a few months earlier, when she was just learning to walk. This little fellow is going to be a staple item to gift to the little ones in my life in the future. I secretly want one for myself... it’s that nice.

I bought this for my 20 month old. He had a dump truck pull toy & I sucked up the string when I was vacuuming one day. (Ooops) Well… the dump truck used to fall over all the time so I wanted to get him a new pull toy that was more sturdy. When I pulled this dog out of the box my initial reaction was “Ohhhh no. It’s so small!” But my son immediately grabbed the string & took it outside. This thing can go over gravel, grass, even the big stones we have for our landscaping around our house! It doesn’t flip over. It’s so awesome! The string is long enough for my son. Plus the dog’s head moves side-to-side & the spring tail wags. It is just too cute! My son loves it so I’m happy with the purchase.

I have also bought the Brio duck and ant pull toys for my grandsons. This one was for the 10 month old. It is smaller than the other two, which is fine. It's very cute, well made as all Brio toys are. I was a little disappointed that it didn't "do" something. The duck pull toy makes a soft clicking noise that the babies love. The ant has an egg that rolls and flips on its back. The dachshund does have a spring tail which is cute. And the wheels are uneven to make the dog wobble up and down a little bit (made to do that.) I guess I just miss the satisfying soft click of the duck. If it did, I would give it the 5 starts.

My child loves this little dog. She pulls it all around the house. It manages to twist and turn with her the whole way through the house. Very cute.

The media could not be loaded. Bought it for my 18 mo as he is into pulling phase. It is easy to drag along toy that turns its head so it doesn’t flip that easily, hence there is no frustration when changing walking directions suddenly. It’s light and small for the dodder hands.
