It’s been almost two years I brought this razor for myself. The razor is top notch quality and trusted brand. Have been using it more than three times a week. Although I have been regularly buying the blades for the razor, lol. This was my second purchase of the same razor. Previously I lost the razor while traveling, must have been left some where. From then onwards this is my go to buy. Blades are very easy to find for this. I combine it with Gillette’s Foaming Shave Gel and After Shave. This razor is portable and easy to carry without the blades. Comes with a holder of sort to find it easy. One thing I would say is it’s easily cleanable under hot water and also the blades that come with it. Those Gillette blades are long lasting as well. Just pop out the razor and attach the blades and we are good to go. Blades often can be used thrice or four times for myself. I can see the yellow strip on those blades becoming white. So when it does just do a swap. This razor holds them really good and also has a lock mechanism with roller to avoid any infrequent bumps from your skin. I used this on face only. Not sure about other body parts. It’s totally worth the money for this razor from Gillette. 👍🏼👍🏼

I am really impressed with the whole Fusion5 line from Gillette. I have always been a Gillette user and with each new line their product gets better and better. I have always been a Proglide user and when Amazon had the great deal here to get each razor with an extra blade at a great price I decided to give the Proshield a try. Very impressed with the solid construction of the handle. It is so easy to grip and moves, glides and rolls wherever you need. But I have real sensitive skin and the double lubrication, coming before and after the blades do their thing irritated my skin. No nicks at all or anything like that. Got a very smooth shave, it just made my skin not feel as good as usual after a shave. The Proshield blade is a little thicker than the others and I also found that not so much to my liking. But I think it is great that they have these different options of different blades that help people with different needs. I highly recommend this razor and the Proshield blades if it suits your needs. I myself am returning to the Proglide Power and that is just because it suits my skin and my needs best. But thanks Gillette for providing the finest products and a variety of styles to suit everyones needs whatever their skin type

The classic argument: Straight edge? DE Adjustable Safety razors, Cartridge? Electric? What has the closest shave without razor burn or cuts? I've used them all and I have my personal preferences.... but here is the bottom line. Unless you really get into shaving and want to spend lots of time and treat it like an engineering exercise or a hobby there is pretty much only one answer. The Gillette ProGlide ( 5 blade Gillette) is a dam good razor. For 99% of the people out there you are going to get a great close shave, with little if any razor burn or cuts. On the other hand shaving foam or gel from a can is pretty darn lousy. Its fast. This much is true. If you never try a SE, or DE or Electric..... there is one thing you can do to improve your shave.... Buy better shaving cream.... In my experience better shaving cream makes a bigger difference than the razor. Pretty much anything is better than the canned foam. Good shaving cream or soap is better than the canned Gel. Shaving cream in a tube stays fresher and keeps its scent longer than the same product in a tub. A good shaving cream from a tube (so it stays fresh and the scent doesn't fade) and a nice shaving brush and bowl and you'll be happier no matter what you shave with. Just my two cents.

Found this same razor and blazes in a big box store many years ago and have been trying to find them again. Had not been able to find this razor handle and blades anywhere except Amazon. You will love these razors, better than any other similar razor, it is very smooth and has lubricating straps on all sides making the shave extremely smooth. Love this as I have a very heavy and thick beard, and the lubricating strips reduce and eliminate the pulling and ripping I feel from normal blades. Coming back to get more of these in the future.
