Car Center Armrest Storage Box Container Tray for X1 F48 2016-2019, for X2 F47 2018 2019 Left Hand Drive (Black)

This is a wonderful product that I didn’t know I needed. I thought the console set up in the x2 was odd, but wasn’t a deal breaker for me. This adaptor creates an enclosed storage space that frankly is what the factory design should have been. It fits seamlessly in place with no gaps or open space. You can still utilize the charging ports and run cords without obstruction. Construction is wonderful. If you did not know in advance, you would think it was a OEM build. I pointed it out to a family member and he thought it was a factory install! love that I now have top and bottom storage that is closed off to prying eyes. Highly recommended for X2 owners.

The BMW X1 and X2 both have kind of a dumb arrangement under the center armrest: The storage bin in the console is open to view. That open space not only exposes your stuff to curious eyes, but it wastes the vertical space under the armrest. This insert fits perfectly, creates two secure storage areas (one inside it and one underneath it) while still allowing access to the USB port in the bottom section (another kind of goofy design feature). At least for my dark grey or black seating, the black leather wrapping the insert matches perfectly in color and texture. Even the stitching matches. I had to point it out to my wife, it blends in so well. As others have mentioned, it raises the lowest setting of the armrest by about half a click. If you're short (I am), you may notice this. If not, you probably won't miss it. I will probably install some felt or polyurethane film on the underside of the armrest so that the insert doesn't mar that surface, but TBH, that surface is invisible most of the time anyway. Recommend this absolutely 100%.

Before a review of the product fit and function, a comment on design. Actually the thoughts behind the design. You guys need to go work for BMW so that these magical amazing accessories can come standard on our cars! But that's not why you're here. You're here to know what I think about the product itself. I guess only one word, Perfect. Why? That'll take a few more words. First fit. To put it simply it fits like it was already a piece of the car. The colors, the curves, the stitching, the everything lines up. It is so much more visibly appealing to look at that solid center console, rather than an armrest that hangs in the air. Simply, it looks way more classy. But don't take my word for it. Ask my wife. No need, I saved you a bit of time and I asked her. Well, I told her that I had purchased a storage container for the inside of the BMW. The look on her face was priceless. She was imagining a cheap plastic non-matching accessory, and I was loving every minute of it, as I was also telling her how much I loved it and how attached I was to it. I could tell she was a little upset as she told me she was going to go out and take a look at it. She asked where it was, and I jokingly ask her to find it. When she left the inside cabin of the vehicle and popped the trunk I knew I had won. I was standing nearby when she approached after searching the trunk. She asked where it was. I told her it was in the cabin. Then I took her over and showed her. A jaw dropping moment as she realized that that piece wasn't part of the original car. She asked me to take it out of the car, so I did. Then she asked me to put it back and never take it out of the car again. I don't know who you guys are or why you saw this car incomplete and decided to make things right, but thanks. And don't stop making accessories for this car, because I'll be watching and waiting. (Hint: a nice glove box door replacement would be most welcome!)

The armrest storage box fits perfectly. You simply just place it in the middle. It was affordable and good quality.

Easy install. Perfect fit. Only drawback is for 2022 BMW-X1 s28i...charging hole for phone is in front on this product; charging port in car is behind the center console. Overall, good product, otherwise.

It is easy to install… I mean, just to “place” it :) Now I have addition privacy storage

I just received this today. My BMW X2 M-performance has dead space underneath the armrest so I I’m always afraid to leave anything there. This is pretty classy and I don’t need to readjust the armrest anymore. Has a notch for the phone charger cord and you can still place items underneath it. Now I can put my wallet in there instead of the cup holder for when I’m on the run and I don’t wanna take my purse. Even if I forget my wallet in the car, it’s out of sight. Fits perfectly and looks like it’s been there all along. I’m super happy with this purchase.
