Natural Oatmeal Shampoo, French Vanilla, 64-Ounce

We have an English Mastiff and the shampoo we had been using left her skin flaky. We realized we needed to switch to an oatmeal shampoo. Dog shampoos can be so expensive. Being on a budget we came to amazon to see if we could find a good deal. We decided to try this Perfect Coat Natural Oatmeal Shampoo and we sure are glad we did! We love the vanilla scent, it leaves her smelling fresh. Any dog owner knows that there is a strong dog smell that dogs carry around, especially for us living in the Pacific Northwest. This shampoo really helped tamper down that smell. It also leaves her fur extremely soft. We are very happy with the quality and for a decent price. Would definitely recommend.

Recently we switched from a longtime use of "Hartz Mountain Groomer's Best Oatmeal Dog Shampoo" to this one for the itching our dog (similar GR as pictured on the bottle) remained after using that product. There are also some concerning reports about Hartz's products, which moved us to consider another product. Well, now with this "Perfect Coat Natural Oatmeal Shampoo for Dogs", we don't notice very much difference in the itching by our dog. The source of the itch is definitely not fleas, but most likely a (food) sensitivity issue we have markedly improved on by switching to Purina Beneful dog food. The next step to complete our search for a cure is the shampoo. It's a bit expensive though. But, there are sufficient improvements noticeable already to continue with this product.The biggest advantages we noticed were:1) a much smoother leather build up by this brand of oatmeal dog shampoo2) much less shampoo needed (2/3 of before) to get the same foamy effect3) the dog loves it too as she started licking it, which she never did before4) a much less penetrating oatmeal smell during and after the wash5) her hair doesn't stick up like before and thus a conditioner is not necessary

This worked pretty good. My dog didn't seem to mind it (husky). It doesn't overpower with smell like some do and the smell is pleasing not overly perfumy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that it didn't lather up as much as I would like. My dog has a lot of hair and lathering helps me spread the shampoo around. This seems to be common in most of the pet shampoos I have used. It did however seem to wash out really easy and get the dog pretty clean. I will buy this same product again as it worked well enough for me that I will not try hunting down a better product that I am unlikely to find. Also the price is good.

Works great on Zippy and Little Bella doesn't lather up as much as some do but I tend to cut all my dog shampoos with a little water makes it easier to put on Zippy and Bella. I put a little in a bottle with a little water and squirt it on makes it easier to spread for me at least. It does lather up nicely and It does rinse very well it does have some vanilla smell to it in the bottle but doesn't leave much of a scent on my Baby Girls which is fine by me. I bathe my Girls regularly so I don't care much about a long acting scent. Scented shampoos won't cover up a stinky dog. Leaves their coat nice and soft and no itching and Zippy does have slightly sensitive skin. Buy with confidence if you don't like it so well you will still be able to use it and get something else the next time.

First of all I thought I was getting a gallon shampoo because I did a gallon shampoo search so that was deceiving for me and very disappointing. Second of all when I got the shampoo and used it it did not spread as well as I hoped for so the value for my money I felt could have been spent better on a larger shampoo That lathers better. What I do like about it though is it does smell very good and it does leave dogs pretty clean.

When I first got my dog 3 years ago I used various shampoos including other oatmeal shampoos. Buddie was constantly itching. Then I tried Perfect Coat and his itching stopped. I even use it for my new dog and it works great for Reilly. I have been using this product for about 2-1/2 years and love it. It is thick and rich and doesn't dry their skin and cleans beautifully. Their fur is soft and smells great. I would recommend it to anyone with a dog.

This is one of the best shampoos I have found for our dog. It has a very light pleasant scent. It lathers nicely and is one of the few shampoos that helps his dry skin. He gets skin allergies in the summer and loses hair. This shampoo has helped minimize this! I Iove it.

Compré este shampoo por las reseñas que tenía en Amazon EU, mi perrita tiene la piel delicada y el shampoo de avena que le había que le había comprado no funcionó, con éste en una bañada bajó considerablemente su comezón. No tiene olor duradero como dice, pero queda un olor neutro a los dos días. Es fácil de enjuagar. El envase contiene muchísimo producto y vale mucho la pena por el precio tan económico

My black lab loves to run away and go rolling in dead things whenever he gets the chance. I am regularly washing him, and this shampoo cleans great. He has really thick fur making it hard to rinse some other shampoos off of him, but I haven't had that problem with this one. This is a scented shampoo, but when rinsed off properly, there is very little perfume noticeable. This shampoo does a great job of cleaning my dog, so if you need dog shampoo try ordering this today.

Tiene un olor muy bonito, aunque no dura mucho después del enjuague, y no hace mucha espuma, supongo que esa es la razón por la cual le ha caído bien a la piel de mis perros, ya que con otros shampoos se irritan. Lo volvería a comprar si lo encuentro al mismo precio.

El aroma es bueno y durable. Mi perro queda limpio y su pelo sedoso pero nada del otro mundo o que otro shampu no ofrezca. Lo compre por el tema de las alergias ya que mi perro se rascaba mucho y aunque si disminuyó un poco la comezon, no la elimino por completo ya que me funcionó mejor otra marca.
