Better water
Great product. I live in Arizona where the water is very hard and tasteless. This product helps alleviate some of the taste and feel of the local water.

water flow and pressure is extremely better with the max flow system.
I replaced my original rhino whole house filter with this max flow rhino whole house filter after exhausting the original one after 10 years of use. I did not use the pre and post filters that came with the system as i like the large culligan ones that i was already using as i can see the filter elements and guage replacement on visual inspection without having to remove filter first. My city water has a strong chlorine odor and quite a bit of particulate . this system does exactly what i want it to, remove chlorine odor and particulates, i am using a 5 micron prefilter and a 1 micron post filter.

Easy Install, works great - hope it last a long time - Well Water
I have a well and water has been tested to be quite on the hard side. We do have a small amount of iron but overall the water is quite clean. There was quite a distinct earthy smell in our ice cubes and tap water, after it was left in a bottle for a day. The priority was on a softener system to save our appliances and my wife's hair. I wanted to add filtration to our house anyways hoping to get rid off that smell and improve overall taste. I wanted a system that is easy to maintain and lasts a while. I installed all of it myself and with some pex piping, this was a simple job. I ordered the $80 kit suggested with this system and it provides everything you need to install. I did not want to spend the extra money on the UV light as I didn't think it was necessary. I also didn't want to install a reverse osmosis system as I have learned quite a few bad things about those. They actually filter all of the good minerals out of the water as well. Marketing has come that far that we think NOTHING in the water means CLEANER! But there are lots of good things in the water that I didn't want to filter out - so no reverse osmosis for me. This Aquasana system is hooked up to the whole house and the outdoor faucets as well. So the well water goes into the pressure tank - then into the water softener (This unit backwashes ever so often and filters the larger sediment as well as softens the water) - then the water goes through the filter. After that it goes into the hot water tank. I did not notice a decrease in pressure and the water is very clean and soft. However, after we "forget" the water in the kids water bottles for a few days, we get a hint of that earthy smell again. The ice cubes and tap water are great - i guess it just comes after a few days. This leads me to believe that there may be some bacteria in the ground (no dangerous ones as I have tested) that probably produce this smell. But overall this was a huge improvement and I am happy that my clothes get washed with clean water, and all appliances get soft water as well. I think this might have been overkill - but at least this should last for 10years.

Read BEFORE you buy anything from Aquasana.
So many reasons not to buy this system or anything from Aquasana. 1. Tried to cancel the order 30 seconds after I purchased it because I forgot to go to my amazon smile page to get a portion donated to charity. The order could not be cancelled. Nor can you return it through amazon. That was the first sign this was going to suck. 2. The warranty is void if you install this yourself. 3. When flushing the standing filter and conditioner before use I followed the instructions hooked them up to my hose and flushed each for 30 mins solid, then turned the water on for 30secs and off 30secs for 30 mins just to be sure it was clear(lots of ppl complained about the black fine specks appearing in their appliances). When I hooked the system up I had to flush them in my house for another 4 hours and still they kept showing up in my bucket. As of today - 3 weeks after the install they are still showing up in my post sediment filter and I’ve emptied it 5 times now. 3. All the connections and threading is plastic. I hooked the system up using plumb thread tape and the pre and post filters leaked. I replaced the brass connections and used 3 wraps with pipe tape, leaks. Replaced the brass and 4, 5, and 6 wraps of tape, leaks. Eventually I bought two 50$ culligan sediment filters (because it was day 3 with no water) to replace the pre and post filters and no leaks. Plastic threads screwed into plastic connections which then screw into more plastic threads.... for 2000$ you’d think it would be made of something more durable or even something that works. 4. If you have to drain the system the standing filters hold ALOT of water, I had to change the system so many times because of leaks, tweaks etc I put shutoff valves at each end of them so I could cut the pipes without dealing with massive amounts of water over and over. This systems comes with 3 shut offs, no brass connections or anything else you need to set it up. The gray plastic connectors that fit between the standing filters leak so just throw them out and get more ‘ 3/4” brass to pex ‘ nipple fittings. 5. Customer service is a bad joke and Aquasana has a lawsuit against them for selling defective junk. 5. Between the pex crimp tool, brass cutter, pex pipe cutter, pex side crimp tool, all the brass connections, pex rings, replacement sediment filters and replacement METAL 90 degree pex sleeves(both the 90 degree plastic bends broke) i spent another $600. The system is installed and working though the water tastes weird. So I have a filtration system I don’t trust at a huge unexpected cost and because I wasn’t willing to pay a licensed professional to install it... I have no warranty. Lastly, somehow my purchased was marked as a gift and so I won’t even show that I am a verified purchase. My pictures are sideways, sorry. I wanted to show a few configurations I tried as I replaced parts and changed the setup. I only have 6’x6’ wall and I needed room for my cats litter box too. I’m adding two more sediment filters one pre and one post because I don’t trust my well or the standing filter. The video shows a test setup that I tried to see if I needed to add more post sediment filters because of the fines and of course I do. Which I will do next paycheck. This review is all over the place, it’s 5am and I had to finish before I curse their name and go to sleep. Final verdict: Aquasana should burn in hell and probably will if they put their own system in their factory.

Clean Waternstarts here!
Great System from a great company. We have rec'v the system and discovered that the first filter in line as it was being rinsed, part of the install, that the tank was leaking from the bottom side of the connection, after a video was sent showing the issue Aquasana immediately rectified the issue and after we get the new tank , the install should go real smooth. Stuff can happen unintended, and with great direct communication, all is well. We are fed water from a co-op well, and we live in the desert. I am glad we can have a system to clean the water💕 Give them a try, you wont be dis-satisfied. I will update after install to speak of the better water quality!! This company is great!

Great product
It's an amazing product. I love that my plumber was able to install it in a small space. Definitely a value for its money. I no longer see the harsh water stains and feel the softness in the water quality. It certainly changed my hair texture; I find it softer.

Incomplete installation kit
The installation guide is very incomplete, and partially confusing. Descriptions and part numbers do not coincide with the one sheet so the hardware. I had to purchase additional hardware worth a few hundred dollars to complete the installation. I am waiting for the water test results. Then I will know if it was worth.

Worked well for me
This is the first whole home water filtration system I've purchased. It's rated for 10 years, but I used it for 5 before moving homes. It definitely removed chlorine, because first thing I noticed at the new house was that nasty chlorine smell was back. The install was fairly straight forward, if you're handy with plumbing. I did have a bit of a time getting the fitting not to leak. Eventually, with enough cranking they sealed up. Filter swaps (pre and post) are a breeze with the provided tools and as long as you plumbed in a bypass, you don't even have to turn the water off. As far as what it removes, all I can say for sure is sediment and chlorine, which is what I was looking for in a whole home filter. I waited way too long to change the pre-filter, but check out the attached image, definitely works!

Huge difference in water
We are on town water in a small town and we get very high levels of chlorine in our water. We can tell when the water has had a new dose of chlorine because we can smell it for a few days when we turn on a tap. After learning about the problems with ingesting chlorinated water, I began filling up jars of water and leaving them out to evaporate the chlorine for a day before drinking. This made a huge difference but I wanted to be able to drink from the tap with even less chlorine and didn’t want us to be absorbing it through our skin anymore. So, we did research and this water filter was recommended as the best for our purposes. We have been very pleased with this filter so far. The water tastes great and I feel so much better about my family washing in this water. There is no hint of chlorine taste in this water. So glad to have better water with this filter! Highly recommend!

I am on my third replacement order from Amazon for this product, the first two times the Tank didn’t come, only the filters and pro install kit! No one can give me any answers as to why.... here’s hoping third times the charm...

A great water treatment system.
As a water filtration system it works great. As a water softener, it does not compare to a regular salt based softener. I base this on the fact, the water still leaves my skin feeling dry and itchy and I get hard water marks left on the shower glass door. The water is crystal clear and tastes great. I may add a conventional softer after the Aquasauna system. When installing make sure you use pink thread tape and the correct pipe adhesive, Install was a breeze with the PEC system. You may need to build a structure as I did to install the filter housing. Since writing this article, I found that I need the water softener tank to go with the filtration unit. I have ordered this part and will add my findings to this article once installed and tested for a few weeks.
