My youngest son is very sensitive to chemicals. I got these hoping they would help the softness of our clothes without him having a reaction.These dryer balls are made of wool and feel very light. They don’t have any sort of scent.My son wanted to play catch with them because he thought they were actual balls. I had to break it to him that they weren’t and we compromised by allowing him to throw them into the dryer.After reading that they help cut drying time I decided to try three balls in one load. We have a large capacity washer, but a regular dryer and it usually takes my clothes two dryer cycles to get them all dry. They definitely cut drying time. I didn’t notice any sort of “fresh” scent or extra softness, but the fact that they cut drying time is a bonus in my book.I received this item at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

I just received these and they have a VERY heavy chemical smell. It was so overpowering that I had to put them in my garage. I'm very disappointed since they are advertised to be chemical free and all natural. I am returning immediately.

Warning: It freakin smells like kerosene or something like that.I left it under the sun for a day and I can still smell that faint hint of kerosene aroma. Threw in the dryer with newly washed floor rags just to make sure whatever scent it had was not going to transfer to my clothes. It's not as noisy as i would expect it.Perfect for drying bedsheets and pillowcases. Also perfect for adding fluff to sleeping bags.

I have noticed that my clothes are softer when coming out. I haven't noticed much of a shave in drying time, but some. So, worth it, to me.

This item states that it is non-toxic however as soon as I took the plastic wrap off all I could smell was a strong chemical like smell. Because of this I never actually used them in the dryer and I will be returning them.

These work great! They are easy to separate from clothes when they're dry. I haven't noticed a huge difference in drying time, and they are a little noisy, but the clothes are soft.

I got these at a great price, helps make my clothes and towel softer. I love not having to use toxic chemicals to soften clothes
