SIRUI SL-200 Carbon Fiber Tripod Extension Pole, Two-Section Center Column Extender for Tripods

I was looking for a viable table top tripod for an Olympus TG-6 that also would work with a standard body and not too heavy lens (such as a gripped Nikon D850 and a Sigma 105 mm 2.8 OS macro). I bought a Zeadio Metal Mini Tripod and a Pergear TH3 Pro DSLR Camera Tripod Ball Head, but the Zeadio lacked a center post were I use it above table/ground level. This Sirui addressed the issue and at a sane price. The total cost was $75 plus tax (Prime "free" shipping) -- and given that everything is metal or carbon fibre with a load capacity of 8 kg (17 lbs.) for the least load bearing component, this mix-and-match system is relatively low cost for the capability. I have other Sirui items such as a K30X ball head (that is significantly better than the Pergear, but also more expensive); all of my Sirui items are "professional" quality. I'm 6ft tall, this extension provided just the right amount of extra height for my travel tripod. It had the correct 3/8" male and female threads on the ends to directly connect with my tripod. The only thing I didn't like was having to remove it to completely collapse my tripod.

If you are using a tripod to hunt and it won't go tall enough to comfortably stand, this is your solution.

For a change, this is a simple device that actually works well and does the job. It's light weight and easy to use. It is compatible with many types of tripods.

I use this on my Sirui AM284 tripod and I now have my camera at eye level with additional height if I need it. I am 5' 9" No more bending :) It is well made, very sturdy and light. I would pick this option any day over an adjustable center column because of its rigidity. It is like a solid extension of my tripod. Also when I put a leveling base under it I can easily level my camera for Panos without having to adjust tripod legs.

I used this to extend a Benro geared head from my Gitzo tripod since the knobs hit. It worked like a charm. It was stable, well-built and lightweight. It made traveling easy. Highly recommend.

Really pleased with this centre column. It's very stable, for what it is. Most of the time I don't need this honestly, but for when I want that extra bit of reach it's fantastic. It's very small, lightweight, and easy to transport. Obviously it's quick to set up with just 2 sections, and you can just leave it "collapsed" if you don't need the extra height and get some more stability. I think it's great that this is an option you can purchase separately from other tripods that don't include a centre column. It just means you have maximum flexibility and you're not paying for things you don't need.

This extension pole was purchased to complement a carbon fibre Sirui tripod I recently purchased. I'm very impressed with the quality of their tripod and this extension. They're strong and very well made.
