nice cup ,wasn't sure of 12 oz ,but it holds at least 16 oz also design is good less tipping over and fills good secure in hand , love the bone china thin cups makes coffee and tea taste so much better than glass plastic metal or thick heavy mugs ,i would recommend this cup .
