Wow! I am real happy I decided to give this instant a try! Great flavor and strength (adjust to your own taste) without that chemical after taste that sours me on many the these instant coffee's. I've tried/scoured every known brand of instant coffee from every corner of the planet, my daughter thinks I'm nuts. I've been on a several year mission to find the best tasting instant coffee that suits my pallet. From the Far East to South America. From North to South every brand within reason I've tried. Many are just plain terrible and you throw away immediately. The tolerable ones you keep for emergencies and the good ones (which are few) I rotate around week to week. Price also is a factor. My top 5 Choices to date that I think comes closest to brewed without that chemical after taste. #1 Cafe Tastle Gold - "Great taste and flavor and "by far" the best price per ounce anywhere! #2 Waka - Columbian Med Roast - "Excellent" instant but very expensive #3 Starbucks VIA - Columbia Roast. Very expensive! #4 Starbucks VIA - Italian Roast. Very expensive #5 Douwe Egberts - Pure Indulgence Dark Roast. reasonable pricing Numbers 1,2 and 5 are my daily coffee's. When I want that special cup #3, #4. But #1 might take over for Starbucks as my best tasting.... There are tons of reasonable instants and I've tried them all. These 5 above are worthy of being daily drinkers without that chemical after taste that I've been searching for all these years. The search continues!!! Will update after a few weeks of tastings. Updated 05/10/2020 After 1 month of drinking Cafe Tastle Gold I wouldn't change my original postings as to the order of favorite instants. Matter of fact it took over as being my favorite of the 5 listed above. I would add 1 more to the list that I enjoy every once in a while and that would be: 6- Mount Hagen Organic Instant - Reasonably priced

Tastes good, a lil strong

What Im comparing to: Jacobs normal brew- and Jacobs Gold, Deuwe Egberts/Deuwe Egberts Gold- This coffee has slight more bitter taste, to me. Maybe its just stronger tasting, it does taste fresh and good, I just like a creamier/milder blend. My husband loves it. So its just a personal taste. It is a good value and I still recommend it

Exceptional taste. Very close to Tasters Choice French Roast. I am not certain we are allowed to use other mfgs names in the review. The instant coffee is a quick disolve, not the type that you have to chase the lumps around the sides of the cups. The directions state to use a heaping teaspoon for a cup and I have found this to be true. As with all instant coffee, if your water is close to boiling temperatures you must be certain to s l o w l e y lower the spoon into water, or if using tea kettle water, pour over the flakes slowly. This coffee will boil over the cup if you don't monitor the water temperature. The price was phenomenal. It was an add on item when I purchased it, and I always hate to see great products go up in price once the reviews are positive. The only thing I would change is the packaging. I would love to see glass containers and metal lids make a return. I think they keep the product fresher plus get recycled. Will buy again. Love the 270 cup size.

I am about 1/3rd of the way through my container and I am absolutely going to buy more. This isn't just "good for instant coffee", it's just GOOD. It's also wonderful to be able to make a cup and not worry about the coffee grounds after. That said, I have a few tips for making coffee with this brand: 1) Use a small heaping teaspoon's worth (whichever teaspoon you're using to stir) and don't add more even if you think you need more. You'll make it too strong if you do. 2) Add the granules to the cup then add just enough water to make a paste. Stir really well. Then add hot water when it's ready. This breaks up the bitter-tasting compounds instant coffee gets. I usually do this step while my kettle is heating up. 3) if you have a kettle that has a temperature gauge or presets, set it to 180-185 (or whatever's closest). Very hot but not yet boiling water is better so it doesn't scorch.

This has become my go to cup of coffee. There's no sediment left in the bottom of the cup, it is strong enough without being bitter, and the price is great considering how many cups you get out of this size. I love it, and skip my kuerig, pourover , and French press and go for this every day.

We bought this to make whipped coffee but the instant coffee is more chunky than i expected it to be. It's definitely more bang for your buck because the container is huge but it does not dissolve all the way even if you use hot water. We ended up putting ours in a spice grinder because it wasn't fine enough. The coffee is very strong and really has a great flavor though. I guess it really depends on what you plan to use it for if it is a great buy or not.

I took a chance on this because of the bulk size, and the reviews raved about it, and I’m glad I did. I make iced coffee for my fiancé and I every morning, (and sometimes night 😋) and this is perfect for that, especially size wise since we go through ALOT of instant coffee. This will last forever, and well worth the price. Most other brands have a funky after taste and this one does NOT, and it compliments the creamer - I can taste both, which I love. It’s so good and refreshing and really ain’t got nothin on Starbucks. Try it!!! 😋
