Easy to manuever Transport Chair
Great for use to transport my Mom to Medical appointments. I highly recommend it. This chair is sturdy, easy to manuver with Mom in it, and is worth a few dollars more than cheaper chairs. I bought this to replace a transport chair I bought earlier this year (in January). I didn't do a lot of research at the time since I needed the chair ASAP. Features to consider if you are looking for a transport chair: - Rear wheels - this one has 12 inch wheels vs the 8 in wheels on the other one making it easier to maneuver than the other one. The smaller wheels on the other one would also get caught in the cracks (between bricks) at the doctor's office. No problem with this one getting caught and me worrying about dumping Mom from the chair as I fight to get it loose. - Locking brakes - this one has locking hand brakes instead of having to push a lever on the wheels to lock the wheels. - Easy to fold and put in car trunk. (The first one was as well.) - Light weight and easy for me to handle. This one is about 19 lbs vs 15 on the first chair. The extra 4 lbs is not significant. If I had done more research, I would have bought this one to start with - as of the date of posting this review, both this chair and the one I bought originally are the same price. Not sure what the price of this one was when I bought the other one in January but it's a no brainer at the same price. Even if it were an extra $40-50 or more, this one is well worth the extra cost.

Light and foldable, travel wheelchair
My mother in law is 89 and has mobility difficulties. She can walk, but needs a cane and not for long distances. My husband gifted her and our kids a week in Paris. We were able to take the foldable wheel chair on the plane as a carry on. Everyone on Air France was wonderfully accommodating. It folds easily and is very light. You have to remove the foot rests. So bring a small drawstring bag and store it in the overhead. It’s very easy to take off and on. The larger back rear wheels rolled easily over the cobblestone streets and narrow sidewalks of Paris. Its small size fits on the tiny elevators and crowded bistros. We did not attempt the metro. We used Uber XL or a van. I would highly recommend this chair for travel if you are with a mobility compromised person.

Perfect!
This is perfect for my 92 year old dad. Very lightweight and folds for easy storage. Dad is about 5'8" and weighs about 150 pounds. Not sure how well it would work for someone who is larger than that, but great for him. I sat in it an moved myself around with my feet (please note, the back wheels are not meant for the rider to propel themselves) and it was very easy to push/pull myself and turn in circles. Almost no resistance. The back wheels have locks so no concerns about a run away wheelchair. All in all, money well spent.

Good price, sturdy, and very handy for our use, but not for everyone. See below for details.
My 82 year wife has dementia and is unsteady on her feet. Although she can walk with a cane, I wanted to get something that was easy to pack in the car and suitable for getting to Drs. appointments, or for a short stroll around the neighborhood. This chair is good for those purposes. Pros: 1. Relatively lightweight and easy to fold and stow in back of SUV. 2. Easy to fold for storage. Doesn't take up much floor space when folded. 3. Quite sturdy. That said, there are also some limitations. 1. The 12", solid wheels are OK for short hauls. But for long hauls it can be a bit tiring. So for long hauls, get a chair with larger wheels (preferably with pneumatic tires). 2. The hand grips that I use for pushing it are pretty hard. I ordered some softer grips. Hopefully that will help. OVERALL: GOOD FOR OUR USE.

Perfect for traveling, especially via air
This is an amazing wheelchair. It is lightweight, has all the features of the best items. It comes fully assembled and the quality is outstanding. It collapses easily for loading into a car or when gate checking before boarding the plane. I put a strap around it and take off the foot supports just before entering the plane. The larger back wheels really make a difference and enable easy mobility over all kinds of surfaces. It is very comfortable to sit in and easy to push.

Chair folds easily and is lightweight. Very easy to manoever. The foot rests are removable and do have to be removed to transport the chair or they fall off when loading. The seat would not be very comfortable as is just canvas so use it with a gel seat cushion.

Muy funcional para mis papás. La silla es muy ligera, la diferencia con una normal es bastante, tiene frenos y un par de agarraderas para cargar con las manos. También trae una correa larga para colgar al hombro. Si hace una diferencia

Lightweight, foldable and sturdy. What more could you ask for in a transport chair? Purchased for my elderly mom who found it comfortable. Price was very competitive.

BLUF: Stick to very smooth surfaces and short distances - this is not a tough-built chair. I purchased this chair for my wife who had broken an ankle. We planned on using the chair for holiday travel to Oslo this December, as she could not walk in her cast. The first time we drove through the city was the day after Christmas. We had traveled just a few hundred feet down a sidewalk when the left front caster disintegrated. The weight load on the chair was nowhere near the listed 300# maximum. It being Oslo (socialist medicine - everyone who needs a wheelchair gets one) and Christmas week, there was no place to rent a replacement. The airline wouldn't ship a broken chair free and the additional luggage fee was $100, so the chair stayed in Norway. While I would normally request a replacement, I had nothing to return. Just got off the phone with Amazon - they agreed to refund the cost of purchase. For the manufacturer, only beefier/stronger caster material would help. As designed, the casters are the weakest part of the chair. While this wheelchair is listed as an "Expedition" model, it would be best suited to flat, level ground and short distances. The brake is operator-initiated and cannot be locked; do not leave occupants unassisted -- I was OK with this. Folded as advertised; held it closed with a strap I provided. The foot supports are not designed to fold and still remain attached to the chair; they are quite light, quickly and easily removable, and went in a carry-on for the flight. Very light weight chair, easy to maneuver on smooth surfaces.
