I bought this Scalextric set for my 8 year old grandson. Absolutely loves it. The cars go so fast. Unfortunately the police car no longer worked after a few sessions, so I contacted the Customer Service Department and received a replacement car very quickly. Excellent service! I would recommend this set, great fun,

Arrived on time. Packaged well. Seems good quality. Puts together OK (I advise adult support) although when the track loop is done it disturbs the metal connectors, this causes an uneven connection and the cars fall off the loop when they try to cross it. But I think it's worth the money. Especially if you want an electric race track, but don't have much room.

this is a great toy. Bought for Christmas for my 4YO. he absolutely loves it. Can change the speed on the controller which is ideal. The plug in version is better than battery and i'd imagine you'd be changing batteries all the time.

Highly recommend for present for little ones. Works well and great Christmas present.

I am beyond disappointed with this. This present ruined our Christmas. After growing up loving this track game , I was excited to buy our son this! It is the worst track I’ve ever seen - the cars sometimes work and then sometimes don’t the track is really flimsy and difficult to connect well which means it doesn’t run how it should! I’m so upset and this was his main gift and he can’t even play one round - a load of expensive rubbish !

Purchased for my sons birthday last year when he turned 5. Really easy to put together and I was impressed with how well the cars stayed on the track, very different to the versions I used when I was younger. The cars and track are small which is ideal as we don't have that much floor space. I think it might get boring for older children as part of the fun with scalextric is crashing but this set is great for my son who is now 6 as he would get fed up if the cars kept coming off.

But it became unreliable. The connection between tracks stops cats from working at fairly regular intervals. Not very durable. The magnetic track is a great design idea because it makes it much easier to keep cars on the track.
