Bachmann Trains End of Train Device with Track-Powered Flashing LED - HO Scale, Black

I received the Bachmann End of Train Device (EOTD) today and installed it on my new Bachmann Industries CSX #256439 ACF 56’ Center-Flow Hopper (HO Scale). I have to say it works and looks amazing! While I normally don’t order Bachmann products due to their lesser focus on intricate detailing compared to other brands, this EOTD exceeded my expectations. Installation was an absolute breeze, and it added a realistic touch to my layout that I didn’t realize I was missing. Yes, Bachmann may not be known for the same level of detail as some other brands, but their durability is a big advantage. With fewer fragile parts, their products can withstand regular handling better, which is great for active model railroading. Overall, this EOTD is an excellent addition, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enhance their layout with a functional and visually appealing detail.

Works well but mounting hole is larger than original

These work on 95 percent of my HO train cars. There are only a few cars that have space/swing issues with the wheel assembly itself. They look great and easily add light to each train cars rear. I have them on all of my cars, not just the rear car. They work great as advertised.

I will use this on one of my older bachmann train cars

I reall liked this item and want to purchase more of them to add to the collection of my trains. I looking to modify the trucks that are horn-couplers. The knuckle couplers adapt easily. It would be nice to have a longer wire for the LED to fit on the last car or caboose.

Works well but better when your train runs faster. Not the best EOD out there but a good basic one. I’m happy with it. It’s also very bright. REGARDING NEGATIVE REVIEWS: If the EOD blinks less or isn’t blinking at all that tends to happen when the train is moving slower and it’s a voltage issue that is most likely track-related and not the device itself. The wheels and/or track may need a cleaning too.

Very easy install took less than 5 mins and added a bit of realistic appearance to my model railroad.

A bit disappointed because it is working good. My disappointments are; the wires were too short to work on my Bachmann caboose, which is what I wanted it for. (using on another car). Also, It does not come with a mounting screw.
