essentials(TM) Artist Sketching Pencils 12/Pkg

I do not know enough about artist’s pencils to say whether these are better or worse than any other pencils, but they arrived in good shape, well packaged. Here’s an answer to a question I had, but couldn’t find discussed in the product description: They are each a different hardness, in a range from 5H (very hard) through 6B (very soft). I saw people mention variety in their reviews, but couldn’t find the specifics. It’s right there on the front of the package, but hard to see. I’m looking forward to finding some time to try them out.

I bought this product for a online art class and it worked perfectly and there was nothing I would change about the packaging or the product. It came quickly and without any damage and it is very giftable. The packaging is very thin and slick and looked nice. The pencils are great for shading and sketching. This is a great product for the price and compared to more expensive pencils, it works the same.

These are excellent pencils. The set is really robust and includes a lot of different darknesses. At least the way that I sketch, I don't need a full 12 pencil set, so I was easily able to split it into two different sets, so that I could toss one in my work bag and keep one at home. They sharpen well and seem to be pretty consistent in quality. I really like these. If you were looking for a gift, these are lovely. The presentation is nice and it's a really full set, so anyone who likes pencil sketching would probably really appreciate them. I'll come back to these any time I need new pencils.

If you are studying light and shades of pencils then this set doesn't include all. however I don't usually use all Hs, Bs and Fs. And the combination is good enough for making a quality sketch.

I personally had a great experience with these pencils. I used them for my introduction college art class and it worked for all the sketch prompts given. I am not a huge artist nor do I sketch often but for what I needed it was great. The case it comes in is definitely not protective but it held together perfectly fine just to keep them in place.

Good quality pencils, no waste from sharpening...good variation in shades/hardness of graphite

Satisfied! Arrived with a sketchbook that I had also purchased. Love being able to have different shades to sketch with. Reasonably priced and arrived within less than a week after ordering. I already had a sharpener so there was no need for me to order another set of pencils with a sharpener. If you are looking for generic sketching pencils with different shades from 5H to 5B then order these pencils. You won't be disappointed.

So far very nice, smooth, clean, blendable, came well sharpened, one has a bit of a scar but it's not an issue (i kinda like it for the character) nice range. Admittedly i haven't had to sharpen them yet so i don't know how they hold up there. might be nice if they weren't all set for detail, i feel kinda bad using the keen points for large shading. I've only had cheap hardcore pencils unil now, i feel like I've gotten a treasure.
