Inoperative: Cyborg One Paperback – March 10, 2014

I hate that this is a prequel and not a full story I'd love to know about Alexia and Miles .... I really like Cyborgs and find them quite sexy ;) but most books I've come across either seem to have too much petty fighting over the female lead like in Kaitlyn O'Connor's or their way to violent and Cyborgs are a bit to bitter towards humans and bit Dominant ( in a BDSM kinda way ) like with Laurann Dohner's Cyborg Seduction series, ( I Love New Species!! ) but her Cyborgs are just too dark for me,I don't mind their origins being Dark just nit their treatment of women/females being that way as well, Though Donna McDonald's series Mankind Redefined is pretty good, Soldiers turned Cyborg turned mindless ( not quite willing) husbands not getting a change to reclaim their humanity and their lives...And while I'd Realky like to know where Miles and Alexia go next, the next book clearly stated m/m action ( and while I'm beyond grateful to have that stated and Not be blindsided like I have in the past ( especially since the desc. Doesn't hint towards m/m otherwise) m/m is Not my thing, why on earth do I want to read two men getting it on when I'm buying a romance that's supposed to be about a man and woman getting together ?Besides married or not when your lonely and not getting any last thing you wanna read is some guy ( imaginary or not) who's hot and sexy and beautiful and interesting getting on with another guy! Come on! I'm lonely and horny and wishing I had a sexy gorgeous guy making breasts and other parts tingle with passion and need and I Anna read about some Guy ? Getting what I Wish was mine ? WTH ?I missing out , and I wanna read about too guys getting it on?Come on! That's salt in the wound, ( I'm praying some day that will change, and when it does I'll spend my time doing it ,NOT reading about! ) but arm it would like being homeless and hungry and going and watching ppl eat at nice hearty meal in a beautiful home and then walking away ... At least with A man and woman I can lose my self in the story ( if it's good ) and maybe pretend the wonderful sexy yummy man or men ;) or mine while the book last and forget my life for a while, coz all Romance books are a fantasy in a way, but not matter what my current fantasy maybe it NEVER includes sharing my man!!! Especially with another man or being an observer watching two men get it on ;(So while I'm very,very grateful for the forewarning my ride stops here...

(Pun intended in the title of the review!) Oh...Well that was too short! This is such a delicious trope; having your very own android that cooks, cleans, protects you, and monitors your hormone levels. Perhaps some of the most mind-bending features of this machine are that it manifests to you by its actions and intensity that you inspire human lust and desire in its being. Of course it fulfills your sexual needs as well. This is all in a gorgeous package of male anatomical perfection which includes one of many women's favorite physical gifts which a man can possess.This is a sexy enough fantasy...but...the author adds an interesting twist to the set up by giving our android, Miles actual independent and thoroughly human emotions as expressed in passages written from the POV of the android.The erotic encounters are a fantasy which heretofore I had not entertained, but I think I am ready to learn how to program AI 😀. Gives new meaning to the concept of a BOB!Yes, this was too short but long enough to convince me that I may want to read the whole series. Oh, and you need to find out just what exactly our super sexy smokin' hot Miles is. Meeting him is worth the one click.

I love the premise of this book - a cyborg that you could fall in love with. The book is set in the future where robots are sexy. Alexia is a girl who can look after herself, but there's something going on that even she won't be able to protect herself from. Miles, her cyborg, is hotter than hot but his job is to protect her. And even if they could get together, he doesn't have real feelings - he's not human.I hope this doesn't give too much away, but boy can Charity write a sex scene. This book had romance, sex, intrigue, fast plot (in fact too fast as the book was so good I wished it was longer) and three dimensional characters. This book is one of my faves from Charity - I enjoyed it as much as I did The Sexy Witches first book. I can't wait for the rest of this series to come out!

Real or not!This author writes different genre, so I wasn't surprised she came out with a story about technology. It's not far from what's going to happen in the future. Androids helping run our lives, Alexia doesn't want a android following her every move, even a hunk like Miles. Miles must look after Alexia because someone is out to hurt her. When Miles starts to do as he pleases instead of what she tells him, like staring at her and getting sexual, androids aren't suppose to have these feeling for humans, she gets very confused because androids are suppose to obey, not do as they please. Alexia is starting to like miles and knows he's not real, or is he? Yes, there are very hot and steamy parts to this book. I'm thinking I might want a Miles, bahahahaha! Great start to what I'm sure will be a awesome series, I already can't wait for more of Miles.

Machine Industry Leading Edge Sentinel, or MILES for short, is close protection for Alexia who is part of a team that re-programmes retired cyborg soldiers using HTML encrypted artwork. I wondered how Charity was going to work cybernetics into a cyborg-human romance / sex fest (and excuse the terminology, but Charity does write sex-fest very well), so I'm not going to ruin the dynamics, but she solved the conundrum for me VERY well.I imagined the human-cyborg relationship of the 1987 movie "Cherry 2000" (and it's a classic Melanie Griffith -Dakota Johnson's mother). No, this is more like the 1970's "Six Million Dollar Man" that my friends and I all crushed on, small change today I know, but Miles is a real super-sexy hero that totally looks out for his girl.Cyborg One is definitely worth the read, and I'm moving onto Cyborg Two next!!!

As if being assigned, and in some respects forced to accept, a bodyguard wasn't bad enough, as the story unfolds Miles proves to be far more than Alexia bargained for.Miles is the more intriguing character. The Android with his own definition of defending and protecting his charge.
